  1. Hi to everybody! It's been a while from my last MOC...a year and 1 day to be precise ..well, how some of you already knew, the last year I bought and refurbished a home and that involved much of my free time. Now that the home is almost finished (I doubt that it ever will), a baby is coming ...that's mean that I'm planning to do instructions, but I don't know when. Now, that's my new MOC. It's a Dump truck 8x8. The scale is about 1:11. It was inspired by the Iveco Trakker (more than anything else to derive the dimensions), but the front grid ended to be more a beheaded batman logo. It's 8 wheels drive, moved by 4XL Motors connected to the wheels via a driveline, it has a differential per axle. 2 XL Motors drive the 1st and the 2nd axle and the other 2 drive the 3rd and 4th axles. This allow to have a virtual central diff and stress a bit less the drivetrain since the torque is splitted. A fake 6-inline engine is connected to the driveline of the 1st and 2nd axles. The 1st and the 2nd are steering axles via 2 PF Servo motors (one for each axle), with different turning radius and working steering wheel. The suspensions system consists in 4 live axles. Shock absorbers for the 1st and 2nd axles, with an anti-roll bar for the 1st axle, leaf springs for the 3rd and 4th. The Pneumatic system consists in 2 small pump driven by an L motor, that provide compressed air for tilting the cab, elevate the bed and to an hypothetical trailer. The lightening system consist in 4 PF Led, 2 in the front and 2 in the back for the headlights (and 2 extension wires). In the back there is a connector where is possible to connect lights of a trailer. There is even a winch in the front moved by an L Motor. It uses 2 SBrick that control everything, with the exeption of tilting the cab and providing compressed air to the trailer, that are actuated manually. It has openable doors (manually) that allow access to detailed interiors of the cab and it has a trailer coupling. The truck itself is built to be a base for several future MOC/MOD. In fact, tipping bed system a part, everything is contained in the chassis or in the side tanks. Weight and dimensions: Length: 93 studs (74.4 cm) Width: 29 studs (23.2 cm) (without mirrors) Height: 42 studs (33.6 cm) (without antennas) Weight: 6 Kg PF elements: 4 XL Motors for drive. 3 Servo Motors, 2 for steering and 1 for the tipping bed pneumatic valve. 2 L Motors, 1 for the pneumatic pump and 1 for the winch. 4 Led, 2 in the front and 2 in the back. 2 Li-Po battery. 2 SBrick. 4 20cm extension cables. 1 50cm extension cables. Pneumatic elements: 3 new long pneumatic cylinders 2 new small pneumatic pumps 3 pneumatic valves 2 M pneumatic cylinders A video is coming soon For more pics see: https://www.flickr.c...157667401525315 I hope you like it!
  2. I was thinking to do something like that...but not in a so good way. It could be very useful! Thanks!!
  3. Hi Matthias, First point, more important since it's a community issues, I appreciated the corrections about builders attributions, but, if I can give an advice, adding a link to the builder page would be better and would be more appreciated by the community and your site would be even more appreciated. Second point, really good job with the trailer, but maybe some pics or better a video could give it more visibility. For all the others: I have to point out that I'm not involved (if not for the model inspirations and some WIP pics) in this project. So if someone will ask me about that, I can't give an answer.
  4. I've already said that I like it, but I'm really impressed by the performance!! Really a good job!
  5. 1) Most physically but I use even digital, especially when I'm not at home and I can't use bricks. 2) For Mac user there is Bricksmith, similar to MLCad, and works with the same parts (.dat files). I tried to use parallel desktop for install MLCad, but it was too slow, so I work with Bricksmith. LPub for instructions. 3)Bricklink or Legoshop for the parts available (mainly PF motors).
  6. I was already impressed during the WIP phase...and now that's finished, I'm speechless. It's really a masterpiece.
  7. Simply stunning!..I really like the screen wiper solution!
  8. That's amazing! The Moc itself is really nice...tender in some way ....but the entire package is stunning!! Dollies, pallets, warehouse and the video editing, everything done at top level!
  9. Some people thinks that building big have the result of a lot of room for functions, that is in part true, but increasing dimensions means increasing weight, so, build a stiff chassis could be more challenging than build the subassemblies. Anyway, I saw that it tend to twist a bit, but that happen even in real trucks....I will be more than happy with your result.
  10. I'm building a new MOC in white since most of the red parts were used on the ACT, the same happened when I built the Custom Pickup, even if some parts still missing in white. Honestly, at first, I considered to build my new MOC in blue, but I haven't enough parts in that colour in terms of type and quantity. I hope to see more blue parts in the future, even if, probably, we will see a lot of orange. I just hope no purple parts!
  11. You make me feel proud every time! I'm not sure that the trailer can handle the weight of the ACT, but it could be a great combo...a, more or less, 12.000 parts combo!
  12. Great MOC Zblj!! Finally we can see it in actions...and it perform really well, way better than I thought. I really like the longitudinal stiffness of the suspensions, I built a similar configurations some times ago (in the Centurion), but they tended to deform a lot. So, again, amazing MOC!
  13. The bus is really well done with nice details, but the thing I like the most is the opening door mechanism and how well hidden is.
  14. The shape is already wonderful! But the stickers give the right touch!
  15. Or maybe I'm making something like yours but in my Tractor Truck scale!
  16. Aesthetically it matches very well and the crane looks gorgeous. I wouldn't worry too much about the cab dimensions, for me are fine. Obviously, I wait a video with the finished MOC in action!
  17. I used something like that: http://www.amazon.it/GRADUATO-PLASTICA-PASTEUR-PIPETTA-CONFEZIONE/dp/B00NRESZOO/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1457954073&sr=8-6&keywords=pipette+plastica After drilled the caps, I inserted the pipettes in the holes and then cut the useless part of them.
  18. The bottles are Lab plastic bottles that I stole from work! You can find something similar on Amazon. But I think that bottles with, more or less, the same dimensions will work. The pneumatic tubes are standard Lego pneumatic tubes. I bought some of them via bricklink times ago. I suggest to buy the longest that you can find and then cut to the desired length.
  19. I can see some inspirations here and there from my tractor truck, but not so much! Really good job! I would have tried to be a little cleaner on some lines, but it's a question of taste. The only thing is that I would have liked to see in the video how the Sariel's gearbox works, powered by 4 XL motors. Does it manage all the torque with no problem?
  20. Awesome MOC, especially the body work! Stunning! Personally, it's fast enough!
  21. The transparent hull looks very nice and the lights point out really well the engine bay. I understand that it has given you a headache, but it was worth it!
