I just got a response from Lego customer service, I hope this sheds some light on all of us: Dear Richard, Thanks for getting in touch with us. I'm a huge Lord of the Rings & Tolkien fan, so I certainly understand your wishes! I've always thought that Sauron would be very hard to 'bring to life' in a physical sense, but the movies did a great job with it. We could probably make a slightly-larger-than-life minifigure based on that image. No new sets or characters have been announced, but there is always a possibility of us doing more with the line. I just emailed lego today bugging them about LOTR 2015 haha! just keep spamming them, its what Star-Wars fans did when they were freaking out about possibly discontinuing Lego SW a few years back LOL
