Couple misc. questions
I picked up a couple of sets missing in my collection recently, and was wondering what the best way to remove the peeling stickers is. Trying to peel them off is very frustrating because they are cracked into a billion pieces. Afterwards I was planning on dumping all the (non metallic) pieces in a bathtub full of soapy warm water, if anyone knows of a better way please let me know. Also is there any way to restore discolored gray pieces is? One of the sets had everything on the side not visible in the auction very discolored. One last question, I'm looking at a listing for one of the RC cars (the kind with 2 buggy motors) and it mentions the steering unit makes weird noises, does that unit have a clutch gear which may be the source?

Trying to make a very fast vehicle
S.I replied to legomuppet9's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHow much performance do you lose with the buggy motors when you power them with the PF receiver + batterybox instead of the normal buggy components? I;ve picked up two or three for 10 E each over the past months from ebay but the sets with the remote control and battery pack always are fairly expensive.

Pneumatic Tubing
S.I replied to DarkShadow73's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingFrom what I found while searching for some a few months back, you can either get it from industrial supply companies for <1 E / meter, but need to buy at least 50 or 100 meters, or off ebay for 1.50-2.50 / meter

Supercar 8070 to be discontinued soon?
S.I replied to paulrobinson's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWasn't the price MSRP 90 (or 99?) euros when it first came out? Nowadays I see it listed with a list price of 109 or 119. I bought it when it came out as my first studless supercar, and it really doesn't seem that great compared to more functional sets like the bulldozer/unimog/crane trucks.

REVIEW: The Unofficial LEGO Technic Builders Guide by Sariel
S.I replied to Siegfried's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI rarely finish my mocs, most of the time what I envision is so much better than the half done project I give up, or I get overwhelmed with work for a couple of months and start something new. Maybe someday when I have more time... PS: Technic for teh win

How do you organize your instruction books?
S.I replied to gmshades's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI have 3 shoeboxes full, but want to figure out a better way because its annoying going through the piles, and they can slide around in there tearing off the covers. Maybe I'll try out the banker boxes mentioned earlier. Online versions quality sucks (Cant read the numbers), and I dont want to sit in front of my PC while building.
