Ragnarök Now 3: Conclusion

How ironic that the game should begin with fire (my lynching) and end with fire as well. -

Thanks for having me! It was a lot of fun while it lasted. Ironically, something just came up today that will keep me completely away from my computer for about a week. I would have had to forfeit anyway :P -

It seems that there isn't much I can do for myself today, the bandwagon is already fairly solid. I know things can still swing in another way still though. I would just like you guys to remember Tarben's strange behavior tomorrow. Don't let him forget! If he is the traitor (and I think he is), the scum are sure to have recruited him by now, and he's in their circle, making him even more dangerous. Don't forget about this!! -

Day 1 hadn't started, but you knew what your role was. So this doesn't make sense. -

Give me a stinkin' example mate... I want two of my direct quotes showing how I have contradicted myself. I have tried to convey one idea since the start of the game. Also, the megabluck is your reason to vote me off? Because I'm annoying? Not because I'm scum, because I'm annoying? I'm pissed at you Lodmund, but I still wouldn't vote you off on the fact that you are an idiot... Get rid of the scum, not the annoying townies... After more careful thought, I know for sure that I will Vote: Tarben (Tamamono) I have clearly stated my reasons, but I will do it again just to sum things up. His PMs really struck me as odd, and something that a townie would not not say under normal conditions. Roles had already been sent out when I PMed him, so he knew for sure weather he was scum or town. Before this whole debate started, he had only posted a couple times, and those posts were 100% fluff. He is simply not acting like himself. I still hold to Pudding's idea that he is the traitor. -

My defense rests in the PM conversation I had with Tammo. Go back and look at it. I can legitimately say that I find his behavior distractingly odd, and I don't think a normal townie would say crazy shit like that for no reason. You all know Tarben well, he doesn't do anything without a reason. There has to be a method to his madness. I don't know if it's a good method or a bad one. Like I said before, I really like Pudding's idea that he could be the traitor fishing for the scum team. There are other possible reasons, I'm sure, that's why I'm not voting for him yet. -

Ahh well. If you guys think me to be scum, vote me off. I can assure you that I am town here, but it's not like saying that will help at all. I re-read a few things, and I think I can see where I don't make sense in a few places. I guess I have equated being suspicious of someone and outright thinking that someone is scum are two different things, but I guess they aren't. I still hold that Tarben has acted strangely, and I think it's very likely that he is the traitor. That said, all the proof I have is out there for you to look at. I also say that Lodmund jumped on my bandwagon rather quickly, and simply passing off Tarben's actions as "being playful" is suspicious in my book. The PMs are out there for everyone to look at. You decide, was I just discussing the game, or did I have darker intentions? Pudding seems to think the latter, but I will still say that I was just telling him who I was suspicious of and giving reasons for my suspicion. -

Lodmund, you seem to think that when I say "I am suspicious of Tarben", I mean "I think Tarben is scum", which is not true. I can have a scum read on someone without thinking him to be scum. Also, I did answer your questions, by quoting my PM with Tarben. I am a fire giant, not a man. And all I see is a dwarf purposefully overlooking strange behavior... How can you not see how my conclusion makes sense? Actually, yes you did. Here. -

I don't see why you have such a big problem. We both say that Tarden is acting strange. Everyone except Lodmund would admit that. I suggested that he could be preoccupied with the happenings in another dimension called "real life", but it makes much more sense if you think of Tarden as a traitor. This brings up a good question: Lodmund, why are you so quick to attack me with your false facts? And how come you are so willing to pass up Tarden's strange behavior? I mean, as much of a joke as it could have been, he did claim to be scum. You're just willing to turn the other way and shun this? Odd... -

Exactly my point. I thought he was joking at first, but he kept saying other wack-o things too. When Pudding brought up that he could be the traitor, all of the pieces fit together perfectly. -

Show me the quote (prior to today's) where I said that. What you just said makes no sense. What is more subtle that telling a casual joke? It would have worked to alert me that he was scum if I was looking for the traitor. Of course he has no idea about my alignment, that's why he didn't outright say "Yo, I'm the scum recruit". Nice defense of your scum buddy there... Nobody acts like that in mafia except pure idiots... Which I guess you have experience with.... XD It's not? I just read over the PMs I had with Pudding, and I must disagree with you. You are probably scum trying to get an easy day 1 lynch while protecting your scum-buddy. You tell me! That's why I passed it off as a joke. How many times do I have to say this. I initially thought that Tarben was joking. -

For Odin's sake man! Have you not even listened to what I said? "I passed the "I'm scum" quote off as a joke (and only that one quote), the rest of the odd behavior is what pinged me" -

After sleeping on it, I think this has just been two townies arguing over word choice. But I'm not ready to drop it yet. I had been viciously trying to prove that I never accused Tarben of being scum, that I was merely suspicious of him for is odd behavior. Well, after thinking about it last night, I really am beginning to doubt Tarben's allegiances even more. Let me re-post the PMs I had with him, but with commentary: Me: Hello again mate :P I figured I would start my PMs with you like I usually do. You have the ability to tell when I am scum, I wish I could say the same thing about myself. Hopefully things will turn out better for us this time than the last two times we've talked in private. I know the game is just starting, so I'm really just PMing you to say "hi, I'm going to stalk you and stuff for the rest of the game". Him: No I'm scum don't do it. Although I passed it off as a joke at the time, Pudding does make a good point that this could be the bold actions of a traitor. He's testing the waters and trying to get lucky. The scum team would know that there is a traitor out there, and would be looking for even the smallest hint. This is Tarben's hint. Me: :D When I don't give a full reaction, he doesn't know whether my smiley face meant that I'm scum, and that I'm happy to have found the traitor so easily, or if it means that I'm just passing it off as a joke. Him (a day later): Dude are you seriously scum again?? Way to go man. After a day of me not confirming that the scum team knows he's the traitor, he tries to dig a bit deeper. Me: Whaaaaaaat? ... I think you are trying to bait a reaction out of my like you tried last game. Nice try, but I need to actually be scum for that tactic to work. Him: Guess the joke's on me then. If only you were scum. This is his last try to find out if I'm scum. He says that he wishes I was scum and hopes that I would take the final hint and recruit him into the scum team. Me: I can't help feeling that you are playing with me here... Do you know anything that I don't? I'm obviously confused because I'm not getting any of his hints. Him: I'm just messing around. Not much to do for Day one. This answer doesn't make sense. Since when does Tarben say stupid shit like this just for fun? That's not normal. I could be totally off, but I am really beginning to think that Tarben is the traitor, and is trying to get into the scum team. Since all of this is out in the open, the scum team knows about it and will have no trouble getting him into their team.
