REVIEW: 71008 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13
Love the new series! It seems that each new series is better than the last, and with each new series I plan to get more figures than I planned for the last. Standouts for me this time are the Goblin, Female Samurai, Evil Wizard, Female Cyclops and King, with a special mention going to the Sheriff, Snake Charmer and Hot Dog guy. This series may be the first time I get all the figures, if possible. I have to mention that I really like the textile accessories that Lego sometimes includes, seemingly with more frequency lately. For instance, I loved the Hun Warrior's felt cape... I'd really like to see that type of fabric accessory included more and more... I also like that standard traditional "cape" material is sometimes being used as a "skirt" accessory, (with the Goth Girl from Series 12, and the Bavarian Girl from a few series' back...)

Blue Coats, Red Coats, or Green Coats
Blue Coats for me! I like the Caribbean Clipper better than the 1st Imperial Flagship, and I like Eldorado Fortress better than the Imperial Trading Post.... But... They're ALL COOL!!!

Lego 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner....Finally! :)
I'm lucky enough to have this set, and its box. Probably my second favorite Lego Pirate ship, (next to the 2010 Imperial Flagship). However, saying that, I couldn't do without either of them. In fact ALL Lego Pirate ships are great, even the mediocre ones, but I digress... If you can find and afford one, I highly suggest it. Don't pass go, don't collect $200, go STRAIGHT to purchasing the Skull's Eye Schooner...

What was your first LEGO set?
My earliest memory of having "toys" to play with was Lego. I can remember getting them for Christmas, and I specifically remember opening the Space Cruiser, set 487, and absolutely loving it. I can remember building the set itself, and I also remember using some of the pieces to make the "Argo" spaceship from the old cartoon "Star Blazers". In fact, I still have that same Argo built, to this day! It sat in my parents basement for a couple decades. I had several sets before getting my Space sets. I don't remember getting them, but I do remember playing with them, and I still have them. I had Universal Building Set 402, (European Set 911), the Fire Fighter boat set 316 / 775, and Farm Set 190, and plenty of small sets from the mid 70's. I still have ALL of them.....

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
These look great. I dig most everything about the new sets. If I had to pick something I wasn't AS into; a "hick-up" in the line if you will, i'd have to say the palm trees. But that's just my opinion. Maybe its just an odd color that i'm not used to yet. I will probably be scoring all of these...

LEGO LotR - general discussion
I just joined up here, and this is my favorite current theme. I'm making this my fist post. I am still hoping for more great sets from the Lord of the Rings.

Hello from Colorado
Hello everyone! I've been visiting this website for quite some time now, as well as many other Lego related sites. I've been a Lego enthusiast, fan, addict & AFOL, off and on for probably 20 years... I've gone through a couple "dark periods", but i'm finally in it for the duration... Don't know if I have a favorite theme, but I seem to always come back to Classic Castle, Classic Pirates and Classic Space, in no particular order. As far as current themes, my favorite is unquestionably Lord of the Rings / Hobbit.... followed by Pirates of the Caribbean. Others that I've really dug are Aquanauts / Hydronauts / Aqua Raiders, Vikings and Western.... I seem to gravitate towards the, what I describe as, the "escapist" themes... I also really like a lot of the MOC's that I've seen here, and at the Classic-Castle, & Classic Pirates web sites. There sure seems to be a lot of talent here, and one of the main reasons I'm joining up here is that I hope to learn a lot about building my own creations... Looking forward to posting!
