  1. I'm away for the summer. I can share psd, lxf, etc; when I'm back
  2. gololo started following Custom UCS Stickers
  3. gololo replied to Monkeyulize's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
I created several for my MOCs BB-9E R5-D4 Too bad i have an awful printer and its "black" ink is more of a very very dark grey colour :-(
  4. Good afternoon, I found this topic recently and I wanted to have my own R5-D4 at home. I made it out of the new R2-D2. I took the design in this original post and modified it a bit. I have my own LXF file if anyone is interested. Also, I have made the sticker from a template I found in the forum. I have the Photoshop (PSD) file in case anyone is interested as well. Any comments are welcome. I'm not particularly happy with the "neck" and I'm thinking of a redesign when I have the time. Here's how it looks:

First of all, I wan to thank Space_jaco for his design. It's awesome. I have bought all pieces and built it. It looks awesome next to my BB-8 While building it, I had some problems. For example, with the mechanism to make the head spin. I have added extra pieces to make it more stable. I thought I would share the changes (Note: I put a penguin figure because sw855 is still not available in LDD): https://www.dropbox.com/s/daplsu4r5lmc4fk/BB-9_Final.lxf?dl=0 Also, I thought we needed the UCS sticker for BB-9E, so I tried doing one myself. My photoshop skills aren't good at all. I've included also the PSD file in case you want to modify it yourself :-) https://www.dropbox.com/s/lrsn7piue5uklfh/BB-9E UCS Sticker.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/j4m30f1bdc3htl9/BB-9E UCS Sticker.psd?dl=0
  6. I have bought a couple of Star Wnrs Lepin models. And I've also bought a couple of Enlighten wagons. Enlighten's quality was passable because the wagons I bought didn't have too many pieces. But one of them which had a few more showed the problems of this brands: sizes of bricks are not consistent and it was difficult to a point to make all pieces fit and that the model didn't fall apart. Lepin's quality is much much better. It's far from being Lego quality, but it's very very good for the money you pay. I bought a couple of AT-ST for 1/3 of the price of the original Lego one, and they look very nice on my shelf. The only thing I dont like at all from Lepin is the "transparent" pieces. A link was posted before with a comparison of the pieces and I agree that Lepin's transparent pieces are foggy.
  7. Thx for your tips. I think i'm not only "green" in terms of building methods but also in terms of proficiency with the LDD software. I was copying the containers as an exercise, and I cannot make the doors close >_<!!!! I'll keep trying, haha. When I'm done with the doors, I'll try to guess how the sides were built =] Cheer, Gololo
  8. Well, I would really appreciate it if you shared the files for the containers and the gondola wagon carrying them, and also the sheep car. I am back to Lego after almost 20 years of absence and I'm a complete noob at building techniques. I've been experimenting with LDD to develop a knowledge, but I'm still far away from being able to make a complete design by myself
  9. Any chances you would be sharing your LXF files?
  10. I'm not too much into minifigures. If you can get it for 170$ without them, go ahead. If you're particularly interested in any of them, most likely you'll be able to get them for less than the >80$ difference you talk about
  11. I mailed TLG about 1 week ago and got no answer. I have called this morning to the freephone for Spain: 2 operators (mobile and landline) say it doesn't exist. Tried from work SIP phone and got rerouted from Spain to DK then to the UK. The agent was surprised to receive a call in Spanish, haha. But going to the point, the agent spent about 5 mins looking for the reference. He told me he couldn't find just the stickers (they were bundled with the instructions). But he spent some more time looking and found the internal reference. It wasn't easy to find apparently
  12. gololo replied to Darthluke824's post in a topic in LEGO Train Tech
As I said in a previous post, I have "bricklinked" 2 trams (lego-8404 type) in red and yellow colours. I have motorized them and they work very well on the train tracks. The only little problem is that the small train wheels are very noisy =P Maybe I could lubricate them... I'll have to look into that....
  13. gololo replied to Darthluke824's post in a topic in LEGO Train Tech
OMG 170€!! I'm only interested in the Tram! I think i'll bricklink that one when parts become more available. I have built 2 trams (from model 8404) in red and yellow and motorized them. They look awesome :D
  14. gololo replied to Darthluke824's post in a topic in LEGO Train Tech
I like the design of the tram. I'm only ... disappointed this is going to be difficult to 'motorize' :-(
  15. Could you post some pictures. I'm curious to know how you did it :-) Cheers, Gololo
  16. Received my Slave I 2 days ago. Waited till Saturday to enjoy a slow build while watching TV or listening to music... So I open the box and..... HALF OF THE STICKERS ARE GONE. Weird! Most of the stickers in the sheet are missing. I checked the bag and the box and it's not been manipulated. I used a couple of stickers and then I checked the sheet trying to see the reflection of light on it. You can see where I removed the stickers (smoother surfaces) and the rest of the sheet where there was never a sticker to begin with :-( I'm very disappointed I couldn't finish the model today completely. I have emailed the Lego service and I'm sure they will send a replacement, but after a 1 week wait (it was out of stick) and 2 weeks more for delivery (I have no idea why the postal service in Spain kept it for >1 week in their offices O_o!?!?) I have to wait yet ~2 more weeks for the stickers :-/
