  1. From the looks of this the ones I want are the galaxy trooper, alien trooper, and carpenter. On an unrelated note, is it just me or is the shape of the alien trooper's head piece similar to the shape of the head of the lobster guy's head from Futurama?

  3. My third entry- The Hunter Larger image- http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/ENDfilms/MOCs/thehunter.png This ruthless mercenary is a self aware robot built by an unknown inventor. His overall goal is always the current goal of his inventor for him but beyond that he chooses his own targets to capture or eliminate. It is highly skilled at stealth but when he gets close enough to his target to pursue its bright red color scheme strikes fear into his targets, for they know it will never stop until it has stopped its target. It has its own built in exo suit that gives its arms incredible strength, enough to bend open think metal doors. Its feet have extra traction on the back and shock absorbing mechanics on the toes. It has two knives in holsters on the back of its legs. For its primary weapons it usually caries two swords or a disk launcher with an attached blade.

My second entry- The Hidden One Full sized image- http://www.brickshel...hehiddenone.png This mysterious figure once plotted in a cave by a volcano on Okoto and was waiting till the skull spiders and villagers wear each other down so he could come out and easily conquer both. Those plans were ruined when the Toa arrived and tipped the balance of power in the fight. The Hidden One now moves on to his second plan for conquering the island- finding the mask of control. He is armed with a fire sword, two claws, and a weapon that fires super-heated balls of lava which he will use all of, if he needs to, to complete his goals.
  5. My plans exactly (hopping to get splitter beast for its chestplate). Thanks for the help, now I know what shells to get (unfortunately 5 long in gunmetal isn't in any invasion from below sets but all the other parts I need are).

  7. This will probably be the first set I get from the new Bionicle line. :) I have one question, what size are the gold shells? (I'm guessing 4 or 5). I'm asking this because i want to switch out the gold for gunmetal when I get it.
  8. My first entry- It is a beast from legends that hunts and destroys entire civilizations. No one knows why it does but they do know even the toa would have trouble stopping it if it came.   9. Is there a number to color list? I need the color # for silver.
  10. Would it make parts shinier if in the parts list I changed the text that says "dull plastic" to "shiny plastic"?
  11. Thanks for the help. I will mess around with these suggestions this evening. I also found through tests the green color inconsistencies were caused by a check box that is called "color variance".
  12. I am relatively new to the program (only have messed with the percentages of the basic lights) and I need help with how to get colors right. The problem is with the dark metallic color I used in what I am rendering. Like the color of this hf armor- . The color looks fine in LDD but not in pov-ray. 1.The part isn't shiny enough. I think using a mild version the chrome effects discussed on this thread (to make it just a bit more shiny) will help but I was confused how to do that. 2. The color is wrong and inconsistent. The color is close to bley when it should be darker. Also, some of the parts have a weird inconsistency of being more olive greenish (this is the most baffling problem and I have seen it in other colors too in previous renders) . Is there a way to improve the color and eliminate the inconsistency? Thanks in advance for any help/tips/links.
