  1. Grinder and Warrior clearly share the same mask, they are just in different colors - Grinder's is silver, and Warrior's is gunmetal.
  2. I wouldn't mind if the final Skull Slicer uses a Skull Spider mask, it would be nice to have that piece in white like an actual skull.
  3. Skull Scorpio will almost certainly use trans-light green instead of trans-yellow, because he uses two Bohrok eyes on his stinger, which haven't been produced in trans-yellow since 2005. I think Grinder will use trans-red instead of trans-orange, because of the color beneath him. The crack beneath Ekimu is blue, and he uses trans light blue, and the color beneath Grinder is red, so logically he should have trans-dark red. Hard to say what color Basher's upper-arms will be, but I hope they're trans-purple. I think he's the most frightening villain, and he'd look better with a darker color than pink. I also noticed that the four smaller sets have sketches on their box covers, giving an idea of what their backgrounds will look like. The only one I can make out clearly is Basher's, it looks like he's running down a stairway. I think it will look pretty cool.
  4. Thanks! That was the main thing that I wanted to achieve - a huge monster that is teamed up with an innocent little kid.
  5. I encourage you to click the photos to view them in better quality! Or if you'd rather, here is the gallery. I don't have a great stories for these guys, but here is the short one I wrote for BrickFair: The beast Razulin protects rogue villager Saka on her journeys. They became a team when Razulin saved Saka from an attack on her village, before she was killed. Razulin is meant to resemble a cat/panther. Based on feedback from my previous cat, Mayazakt, I gave Razulin a much thicker/longer tail. This MoC is already packaged up, but I appreciate feedback for future similar creations! There are also some more photos in the Brickshelf gallery.
  6. Dark Hunter Cragbi Cragbi grew weary of the search. It had been months, and the darn Toa kept slipping out of his grasp. The order to eliminate Malkias was of the utmost priority, and Cragbi had been failing on all accounts. Frustrated and filled with rage, he followed the Toa of Fire into a cavern...only one would leave alive. Upon seeing the Dark Hunter approach, a fire lit in the eyes of Malkias. The fight was over in five seconds, with Cragbi lying barely conscious on the cave floor. Malkias, disturbed by the event, fled and went into hiding, worried that he was being hunted. But Cragbi was persistent. As soon as his wounds healed, the chase would begin anew - but this time, he would not fail. Full gallery on Flickr Toa Malkias Malkias stared down upon the old blade he held in his hands. Old though it may be, it showed no rust, no decay, yet to him it was ancient and evolved. He remembered how heavy it felt the first time he held it - when was that again? A lifetime ago, it seemed. The blade was pure, just as its owner, for Malkias never slew his adversaries. He dashed about his opponents faster than they could see, wounding them only so he could get away. As a Toa of Fire, he had an inherent temper, which he buried beneath a cage of discipline. The memories fading, he looked up, gathered his sword, and with his cape at his side, he set out to survive another day. Full gallery on Flickr I made the Dark Hunter for a contest. The Toa was built for another project, but I wound up not using him, so here he is with Cragbi instead! Malkias was pretty much just my attempt to use that Akaku Nuva creatively, and to practice getting colors to pop. I'm quite happy with how they turned out - hope you are too! Thanks for stopping by.
  7. Entry #10 Link to Official Entry Link to Gallery Name: Deridix Deridix is the last surviving member of an evil organization known as the Sed Flet. As a the sole member, he wears frightening armor, a massive round shield, and a deadly flail. The long spikes emerging from his back are a trademark of his species, as are the black fins on his face. The duty of the Sed Flet is to carry out evil operations all throughout the universe; however, as the only remaining member, he is free to wander and commit dark deeds as he pleases. ---------- Entry #11 Link to Official Entry Link to Gallery Name: Sangoma Sangoma is an evil witchdoctor. His odd proportions confuse even the greatest researchers on Okoto. If you approach him from behind, you may think that he is but a harmless, short Turaga...but beware, for he wears the legendary Mask of Vuku, which will cast unbelievable fear in even the strongest of warriors, causing them to kick and scream.
  8. Entry #8 Link to Official Entry Link to Gallery Name: Brawg Brawg is a brainless brute who dwells within murky underground tunnels. He creates these tunnels using two massive drills, which sink into rock seamlessly. He's never seen the sun, and is blinded by bright lights - however, he is an absolute menace to underground villages. Spin the gears to rotate the drills! ---------- Entry #9 Link to Official Entry Link to Gallery Name: Falmah, Queen of Skull Spiders She lives in an underground lair, where the stench of death fills the air. The place is dark, yet there is always an unmistakable presence...skull spiders crawl along the walls, and in the center she rests. Slimy green eggs are kept in the shell on her back, and her stinger throbs, always ready to pierce a foe. Beware, for she is...the Queen of Skull Spiders.
  9. Entry #6 Link to Official Entry Link to Gallery Name: Balkazir This curious rock construct is often seen aimlessly wandering Okoto. Although Balkazir is nothing more than a machine, he seems to have been built with the gift of curiosity - he is caught exploring, inspecting, learning, always interested in his surroundings. The Matoran villagers are intrigued by his complicated and mysterious personality, and many wish to attempt communicating with the collosal beast - none such attempt has been made, however, due to his destructive nature. Unfortunately, Balkazir appears to be evil, unlike his gentle displays of wonder might suggest; he is responsible for the destruction of many villages, and for the deaths of countless villagers. The massive saw at his side tears through even the thickest walls, and no Matoran stands a chance at breaking through his rock armor. Many theorize that Balkazir's sole purpose is to maintain the status of the environment, for he has destroyed all unnatural constructions in his path, and treats nature dearly. It will sadly remain a mystery, unless his creator is one day discovered. Spin the Technic handle to rotate the saw! ---------- Entry #7 Link to Official Entry Link to Gallery Name: Mayazakt What is Mayazakt? A few years ago, the curious rock robot Balkazir unearthed an ancient tomb, awakening this creature from its slumber. Whitnesses claim that the fiery beast, now known as Mayazakt, emerged from the dark chamber, stretched like a cat, then proceeded to communicate verbally with Balkazir in an unrecognizable language. It then wandered off into the desert and began to hunt wild Rahi. Although Mayazakt is fiery in color, it tends to occupy desert areas. It is questionable who or what created it, and what its purpose is, although findings within the tomb hint that it may have been worshiped in some dead civilization. The feline-like monster attacks with deadly swipes, clawing its enemies and leaving a fiery mark - although it does not show any other traits suggesting the Fire element. In fact, it is questionable whether Mayazakt is a machine at all - by all accounts, it appears to be biological! But if that's so, then could there be more? Where are the rest? One can only hope that Mayazact is unique, and that it will stay away from the villages, for when desert game runs scarce, villagers become quite appetizing to the hungry cat.
  10. Entry #5 Link to Official Entry Name: Zerix Zerix is an assassin for the Brotherhood of Makuta. Link to Gallery
  11. Entry #4 Link to Official Entry Name: Gragbaw, Deranged Ice Mage You've heard the legends of the ancient ice mage who dwells in the northern slopes of Okoto. Few claim to have seen him, and many believe he is nothing more than a story - but mark my words, he's out there. They say his beard grows so long that its tips have turned to ice. His mind, after so many years of recluse, is gone. I've often heard of the sightings. He supposedly seems sad, trekking through the snow with his head down - but don't be fooled by his approachable stature, because now, he is more savage than any beast. Link to Gallery
  12. Entry #3 Name: Cassidin Link to Official Entry "Cassidin is a heavily-armored enforcer. He carries out orders that are considered too lethal for others. Although he carries an outstanding chestplate, hefty shield, and powerful axe, Cassidin prefers to take to the shadows, engaging with surprise attacks or slipping in and out unnoticed. He has particularly excelent vision, and is renowned for silently watching the scene before carrying out his orders." Link to Gallery
  13. Entry #1 Link to Official Entry Name: Serinak, Makuta of Terror He lives to convert and recruit. Through extended battles, Serinak terrorizes his victims with the goal of turning them evil. An encounter with the Makuta of Terror only ends when his victim breaks; there is absolutely no escape. The wings on his back serve only to intimidate, and his claws are not for killing. Upon looking into his eyes, Serinak's victims become entrapped by the power of his terror, encaged in their fear. Serinak is also renowned for his bellowing roar, and the fear it invokes. Avoid him at all costs, for once you see his face, it is already over. Link to Gallery ------------------ Entry #2 Link to Official Entry Name: Ezleon, Makuta of Triumph Once known as the warrior of triumph, Ezleon became evil after an encounter with Serinak, the Makuta of Terror. Their battle lasted a decade, during which Ezleon became disfigured. He lost focus as spikes protruded from his back, and his face became elongated and devoid of cause. The battle was over when Ezleon looked down upon his hands, and forgot why he was fighting. His memory gone, the warrior joined Serinak. The Makuta of Terror, impressed by his incredible persistence, made Ezleon his sidekick. In days gone by, Ezleon was a seasoned smith. He created weapons and armor, until one day he realized that he had a destiny: to craft a legendary weapon, and use it to defeat Serinak. It took years to perfect, but after several failed attempts, Ezleon crafted the legendary Battleaxe of Victory, imbued with the power to defeat the Makuta. Ezleon is considered a most disgraceful enemy, because he wears noble armor and uses a legendary weapon for evil. Link to Gallery
