  1. Hi, I've just started collecting trains this year, but I've loved them since forever. I got my first Lego trin back in '91/'92 - the 4563 Euro Freight Line - for which I got a single wagon, 4543 the Trasport wagon. I started the year with getting 7938 as a (late) christmas present and then went out and bought 7939 + some tracks. For the last 1½ I've been reading the train forums, but I've been following the technic forums since I got out of my black period about 4 years ago :) I'm currently looking forward to getting the 10233 (the wife promissed me it for x-mas) in a few weeks.
  2. Hi, I've been collecting technic sets for a few years, mainly buying the larger ones every year, for the looks and complexity. But I've lately been interested in building GBC machines and wanted to know how to get started building a collection of bricks for this purpose. Is it better to buy stuff for this purpuse from Bricklink or are there any sets that/themes that are better suited?
  3. I too noticed this, when disassembling it the other day. I noticed it on one of the 24T gears but also on some of the axles (I think it was on some of the Axle 5.5 With Stop that I noticed it on).
  4. Sariel has some ideas for how offsets can be achieved http://sariel.pl/2009/03/compressors/
  5. You could argue that 8049 also had a compressor, and that wasn't all that long ago. I know that there was no PF elements in this set, but it had the small pump and instructions for how to rebuild it using 8293, creating a compressor.
  6. I've had great success when buying from Bricklink: http://www.bricklink...P&catString=530 It's easy to see color and length of what you're ordering - the only issues so far is that most (if not all) lots seem to display length in studs instead of cm like Lego use (in later sets anyways) and that some hoses doesn't feel exactly like the real lego hoses.
  7. It seems amazon.de apart from the Star Wars sets for Jan. 2011 also has some of the Technic sets up already. 8065 8067 8068 8069 They all seem to be preorders for Dec. 20th.
  8. I doubt they'd take the phonenumber out of service. Did you try it with a different carrier? Some carriers simply don't allow you to call the number (or atleast, that's what it said for the danish number).
  9. If I were you I'd contact them by phone to hear if it was sent or not. When I first signed up for the service pack by email, I got stuck in a queue of emails that they're still working their way through, but calling them got me the SP 3 working days later :)
  10. Having signed for the service pack back on august 31st and still not received it here in DK today, I decided to call TLC. The CS rep was certain they had sent out all the service packs that was on the list so far, but when I told him I had contacted TLC by mail he said they had a huge backlog of emails to go through and that it might be why they hadn't gotten around to mine yet. After that, he proceeded to make sure I got the service pack ofc. So I would reccommend calling them if you only contacted them by email.
