So, I only found out about this contest yesterday, but I manged to smash this together over two days, something I wouldn't recommend.
In my scene, a recently crashed cargo ship (Actually counts as a SHIP, as it's a bit over 100 studs), is being pilfered by a troupe of churlish pirates, complete with dilapidated space skiffs and assorted mechanisms. And I would imagine that the low gravity on the planet allows for the completely unnatural skew of the cargo ship.
It's not the best thing I've built, but given the time constraints, I think it's alright.
