  1. I used more than a few of the socket strengtheners in his limbs. I didnt have to resort to using leg pistons, and am glad. The moc is very well balanced and can plunk down onto a table without having to be messed with too much. It takes a little more time to pose him dynamically but it stays put once a balance point is achieved. :) Im glad ya like him. He is one of my fave creations ive made so far.
  2. I'd say it was the use of paper. I think it says in the rules that you can only use parts that lego has produced, and that includes fabric. Capes from sets would have been the thing to use. That was a cool entry too, bummer man :(
  3. Heres my entry Akutahn, Makuta of Okoto Akutahn by Archinto, on Flickr
  4. Heres my entry. I present Akutahn, Makuta of Okoto. [Flickr Gallery] Check out the gallery for more pictures and decriptions. He has fully articulated wings and limbs and is capable of dynamic poses.
  5. Too bad there werent target stores in alaska at that time... id have loaded up on hem vahki! Good to know. I still think the orange one is a bit more rare.
  6. Glad ya like it! I drew the details in with some fine tip sharpies. I dont usually draw on my lego or modify it in any way, but this was a special project. Its based off the wood power barges that were built for the army in WW2. My partner has one named Nunivak and weve been working to restore it. Having lots of personal time and contact with the real deal made me want to make some lego versions too :) these vessels were converted to fishing and crabbing vessels after the war.
  7. So heres a little power scow I made in small scale. Down the road Id like to make some nice water transfer decals for it so i can abate the sharpie. This creation was more for fun and just to have a mini power scow for my windowsill to remind me about the boat I work on of a different name :) I present the Naknek. This is based off of a real power scow that I am unsure if it is still in service or not. F/V Naknek by Archinto, on Flickr I hope to build a model of the f/v Nunivak that is miniland scale, but this is a start. :)

He looks pretty evil to me! I like how the face emanates the look of the mask of shadows. Nicely built!

I am thoroughly enjoying this fellas face. The moc overall has a very nice build. I like the innovative parts use on the torso as well. Nicely done :)
  10. I ended up with 8 each of the clear and the trans orange haus. I still have yet to utilize them in a moc. Just havent found the right application yet...
  11. I purchased several of the 400+ accessory tubs and they each came with two each of the gold vahi and mask of time. I have far more golds than orange ones. Id say the orange vahi is the more rare of the two. Even though they were promotional with vahki sets, I never saw one of those sets where I live.
  12. Ah man, You better beleive I'm entering this! My entry is so close to done I can taste it. Looking forward to seeing everyones builds!
  13. Dang its been a long time since I've been on any lego forums. Glad to be here. I hope to share some cool creations soon
