  1. Yes I did. I tried to change up the styles for each building as much as possible. That pieces was hard to avoid considering it's many uses though. Pete

Thanks so much! That did the trick. I missed that in the tutorial. -Pete
  3. Hello Everyone! I am new here. I am a big BrickLink user, I run a shop there and am very active on that site. I love to MOC but I am much better at mini building than large scale. One of my recent projects was creating mini versions of the most recent 5 modular buildings (including the yet to be released Detective's Office). I recently put all 5 mini versions up on Lego Ideas as a project and would love your support if you like my design. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/88845 Let me know what you guys think! -Pete

I seem to be having trouble. I went to flickr, picked the picture I wanted to post, clicked on the arrow, copied the embed link, pasted it in the dialog box like this: <iframe src="https://www.flickr.c...099937/player/" width="320" height="213" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe> And it doesn't seem to put the actual picture in the post. Just the link with some weird characters around it. -Pete
  5. Does anybody else think that the minifigure with the banana on the overalls might be some kind of arrested development reference? I mean he looks a lot like George Michael. -Pete
  6. So obviously there are several criteria to judge a set on: -It's appearance overall -It's accuracy to what it is depicting -Techniques used in the build -Enjoyment of the build (was it repetitive etc) So I guess I am wondering what aspect of 10221 has caused it to be so disliked in this thread? I own the set but have not had a chance to build it yet. I'm just interested in understanding why it's disliked. -Pete
  7. I recently grabbed a yellowing DSII (10143) off EBay for cheap. It shouldn't cost me too much to replace all the yellowed parts on BrickLink. -Pete

Great job! I've always respected brick built figures.
  9. I also had some slight color variation with the White parts. I recommend using New parts whenever possible. Some of those rarer parts get really pricey new though.
  10. Forget Christmas, Counting down the days to January 1st.
  11. I BrickLinked the Imperial Shuttle about 2 years ago. I think I did it for about $200 + Shipping but I wasn't keeping the best track of it back then. I've heard it's more expensive to do now though. -Pete
  12. -Parisian Restaurant -Green Grocer -Town Hall -Fire Brigade -Pet Shop -Palace Cinema -Grand Emporium -Cafe Corner -Market Street
  13. Finished creating my Mini modular series with the Detective's Office. I now have a full second set of 5: http://imgur.com/a/WCMaL The whole set has been uploaded to LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/88845
