  1. Because there are no interiors :-). That's Vladek and his folks or rather what they became... sad story :-) No, these are pure LEGO -)
  2. I used decals from this site: http://www.thewoodshop.20m.com/clockfaces.htm. I printed them on a transparent sticker sheet using laser printer. And yes, I used round tiles 8x8. And - I must say - applying these stickers straight was the most frustrating thing I have done for few years. I hate stickers.
  3. Let me de-lurk to show off my latest build, a clocktower loosely inspired by the on at Cardiff Castle. Flickr set: LINK Believe it or not, but I started this baby in October last year. It took little longer to complete and I am completely worn out by this, so I am glad this is finally over ;-). Tower is built on 48x48 base and measures 106 bricks in height. All parts LEGO except custom stickers for clockface. Few photos (go over to flickr for moar): Enjoy!

Well, to be honest, I just took the photos. I'll write the review today, if only I have time.

Vig. 19d Hi! Here's my creation for a contest at some other pirate forum ;-) : Gallery: Flickr, Brickshelf (when moderated) I hope you like it.

Thanks, You might not see any of my creations because I just build very, very rarely. The water is just a block of 1x2 and 2x2 transparent blue bricks, nothing else. It looks better live, it gives a nice reflection effect.

Vig. 17d Hi! Here's a quick one. I build a raft for a larger diorama, but it didn't really fit there. I liked it though, so I assembled this quick vignette: Fire on the deck!

Amazing details. Blogged. Also stolen the title. Roof from treadlinks is my favorite. Never seen this before.

This is great, Matija! These wonderful minifigs deserve a decent concert hall!

  12. Please forgive me a bit of advertising here, but I guess this is a win-win situation for everyone. Over at Klocki, we currently have Indiana Jones Building Contest (with quite spectacular prizes). By lucky coincidence EB contest has almost exact rules that our Category II - Indiana Jones and the Forgotten Adventure. It means you should sumbit your creation to both contests! Here's a link to the contest page. Deadline is in a week from now, so there is no time to loose. Indy On!

Indeed, I missed this disturbing creation. I wonder how it would look with the red hat... I'm suprised you noticed my ship, thank you! When it comes to pirates, I prefer treaure islands over ships and I probably will build it someday. I got a lot of pirates figs which are angry at me for not using them...

This is cool! The scene is great with many smart details. I'm impressed by how you used the blue wizard's hat to imitate the water, I have never seen this before. Blogged!
