Hello from French Guyana
Thank you, no regret at all about our decision so far. And you're right, it's a real chance I have to live this kind of experience, I never travelled before that, now it's time to make up for lost time !

Hello from iceland
Hi ! Welcome to this board ! The software you talk about must be LDD, you can download it for free on lego web site (just Google LDD Lego) To order bricks, you can find someone you know in a country covered by lego shop who can receive the package for you and send your order back to Iceland, or you can order from sellers who deliver everywhere, see on sites like bricklink to find stores.</p>

Hello from French Guyana
Climate is warmer, for sure, it's always 30° here. My kid misses snow a little, as we lived near Alps before, but he got the beach 5 minutes away :) We came here for a job opportunity, and to experiment something different for us and our children, for a few years at least. Life is more expensive than in France, and cars and electrical stuff suffer a lot from heat and humidity, but we can deal with that. It's difficult to be far from family, and some stuff is hard to find unless at undecent price, and it's a shame that so many stores, especially the big ones like Amazon (or lego store !!) and so, don't deliver the place. That's why I'm still waiting for my first sets :) Thanks again for your welcome guys !

Hello from French Guyana
Thanks all ! Mazin : actually I came to live here a few months ago, I lived in metropolitan France. Yes it's a great country, wild (most of Guyana is covered by amazonian forest, and its access is forbidden), I enjoy the place. I live near Cayenne,it's not very different than any european city. There is no independancy question here, never heard about it. People come from different places, the Antilles, europe, Brazil, Laos (the hmongs who left Laos few decades ago), native American indians... An heteroclit population who live quietly together, despite a lot of poor people.

Hello from French Guyana
Hello everyone ! I know and visit daily this great forum since 1 or 2 months, and I just decide to introduce myself a little. I'm 36, and just felt in love with Lego bricks after buying some little sets to my kid. I remember I had some space set when I was kid, played a little with them, but that's all. So i'm starting to buy Lego stuff just for me I like the Tolkien / catle universe, but I don't think most of Lego sets are not so great (well... Orthanc Tower is impressive, though). My first idea was to collect some minifigs, as I found most of them really nice. But I discovered the modular buildings, and found them gorgeous. I decided to buy some of them, I order first the Pet Shop, before it gets to be unavailable... I haven't received my first order yet, and I'm starting to change my mind again, as I discover all the great medieval MOC that can be found on the web on places like eurobrick or classic-castle : I'm really amazed by what some geniuses like Deferl Cadarn and others are able to do with simple LEGO bricks... So much better than any official LEGO set will ever be !!! So my secret dream is to gather (lot of) material, and learn how to create such beautiful buildings / scenes... Even if I doubt beeing able to do such incredible pieces of art. So, l look to my favorite MOC's pictures again and again, trying to figure out how they made this part, what piece can allow to do this, trying to reproduce some part with LDD, etc. That's all for the moment...
