  1. Man Jean looking really basic. Coping hard that she'll be in the next CMF. We need a dedicated X-Men CMF, I don't care for any of the filler characters like Kate, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Echo, Mr. Knight, etc. Last CMF had too much filler.
  2. 100% agree with this, competition can only improve the product, encourage innovation, and ultimately be better for us consumers. It's why every country has anti-trust laws.
  3. Get the X-Jet instead... both are ridiculously overpriced, but the X-Jet is actually really well designed and way more iconic.
  4. I'll take venomized X over buildable figures or mechs any day. Venomized Groot was actually a really good set.
  5. Oh yeah that's a good point, X-Mansion comes out "soon". My problem is that I keep comparing Avenger's Tower to the Daily Bugle. Avenger's Tower has a lot less space to pose minifigs, while you can fill up the entire front facade of the Daily Bugle with minifigs.
  6. The real answer is cost cutting, given economies of scale (millions of produced bricks) the less amount of plastic used represents significant savings without impacting the structural integrity of the piece in a material way.
  7. Got my Zelda preorder today... thinking of returning it for further credit to go towards Avenger's Tower instead. Lol someone convince me otherwise XD, is Avenger's Tower an overrated set?
  8. The black base for the Great Deku Tree 2-1 set is a design failure; it's lazy and antithetical to Zelda's overall aesthetics. There's so many better colours Lego could've used instead of black, i.e. olive, tan, pearl gold, or various greens/yellows/browns.
  9. Oops I meant endgame, the white suit Hulk. Hate the newest Infinity War/Avengers Tower Hulk.
  10. The older Hulk bigfigs looks a lot better than the newest ones. Best Hulk fig has to be the Infinity War one.
  11. Marvel GWPs have been absolutely terrible. I'd rather get the VIP parts pack.
  12. Instead of another modular next year, I hope we get a UCS Sentinel instead with minifigs posed around it and a small wreckage or danger room build to supplement it.
  13. Lego x Addidas was/is a stupid partnership, and so is Lego x Nike.
  14. Everyone has a price, I wouldn't be surprised if the family goes public or even sells the company if given enough billions.
  15. When it comes to Marvel, Lego is very reactive... if we do get sets for Rivals, it will be years after the hype has already died out.
  16. Think this is also a lesson on using storage units as valuable storage, seen a lot of Youtubers store unopened sets worth thousands in them. These units aren't vaults, they're not that secure.
  17. By now everyone is bored and sick of the endless MCU Avengers sets, I can't imagine the designers also want to push out another overpriced, generic and uninspired set either. Hopefully, there's an internal push for flexibility on the R-rating whether that's actually making good use of the 18+ Adults Welcome brand for once, or leveraging the comics to bypass it. I'd also settle for more X-Men as well, which IMO would be even more R-rated by Western standards since there's quite a bit of sex in the X-Men comics. This is all to say that Lego's blanket approach on R-rated IPs is performative and simply virtue signaling. They need to focus on the actual message and themes of the IP, i.e. Cyberpunk is about the pitfalls capitalism, Mad Max environmentalism, and DP&W is ultimately connection. I didn't get to read it, but I imagine it's about the American approach to "protecting kids", i.e. banning books, having metal detectors at schools instead of doing something about gun violence even after Sandyhook and Uvalde.
  18. A set where you pay more than double the cost, get no printed pieces, and cut costs on minifigs X-Jet is a 10/10 on design, but a 1/10 on cost.
  19. Boo, well maybe we'll get a comic version of Deadpool then similar to Dare Devil. At it's core DP&W is a movie about family and friendship, it forced the "R-Rating" with some jokes about cocaine and a bit of gore, otherwise it's family friendly as it gets.
  20. We're already getting a taste due to mass immigration to limit the working class and to feed infinite growth expectations. We'll get what you ask for when climate change makes parts of the world near uninhabitable and fresh water turns into of the most valuable resource. On a more light hearted unpopular opinion... I'm willing to be price-gouged and pay X-Jet/Hoopty prices for Deadpool and Wolverine sets. That movie was so good and inspirational
  21. Marvel sets we need - DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE SPOILERS The R-rating is a cheap excuse and pathetic copout in which Lego already has a solution, they can just spam 18+ Adults Welcome branding all over it. Hopefully LEGO's greed and desire to maximize profits surpasses their silly self-imposed restrictions.
  22. I actually think Kevin Feige is right here, I personally think a diverse F4 would be more interesting. I just don't think Pedro Pascal is right for the role. My top pick for Richard Reed would've been Steven Yuen followed by Oscar Issac (Duke Leto form not Moon Knight). I don't see Adam Driver as Richard Reed at all imo. Not a fan of the cast choice for Sue Storm or Human Torch... everyone just seems too old Pedro included for F4: Well on the bright side we don't have to worry about casting choices for minifigs. Hopefully the next Marvel CMF will be focused on F4, remaining X-Men, and also gives us a few villains (Strange Supreme, Ultimate Ultron, Mr. Sinister, etc.)
  23. Your solution is solar panels:
  24. Wow how is my post going to be the first of 2024? Anyways here goes: 1. I hate LEGO for paywalling Darth Malak in a $100+ completely unecesseary who-asked for it R2D2 that looks terrible in comparison to the recent UCS R2D2. I hate the thought of paying $100+ just for a minifig, I doubt I will even be able to use the parts efficiently to redeem some of the value. 2. LEGO Marvel still on a downward trend from a design standpoint, and value leaped off a cliff in 2023 and continues to be in free-fall with the price gouging on the Hoopty and X-Jet. 3. There needs to be a long break on Spiderman sets, the No Way Home sets were too late and IMO poorly designed with serious corners cut on the minifig design budget. 4. Ninjago got the Dreamz treatment, sets are now overpriced as if they were fully licensed themes.
  25. Lol I'm legit finding a hard time trying to think of anything good about that movie... it was entirely shot on the Volume, making everything look cheap and one dimensional, acting wasn't good, story wasn't good, the villain wasn't good. Also I'm not sold on the new F4 cast at all...
