The AT ST looks like a … toy. Which of course it is, but will look terrible next to the UCS AT AT. Quite keen on the battle pack however.

Am I the only one who immediately replaces the human heads with a plain black head on empire troopers? I can”t stand the look of flesh from the back.

How to afford this kind of set? The older I get, the less I see the value in owning a hundred middling moderately priced sets that don’t even look that good. So I basically buy a truly astounding, show-stopping set like this one every couple of years and it works out the same. As the cliche goes, you can have anything (or almost), but you can’t have everything.

So be it. I bought my UCS Falcon much later, with double VIP points, and now I’m gonna spend those on the UCS AT AT, whenever that is available.

I didin’t buy this year’s. I only bought last year’s to get the imperial officer. I bought 4 of the one from two years ago. amost of us got multiples of that one, which included a stormtrooper, snowtrooper, hoth trooper and bespin guard. I don’t remember THAT one selling for 45% off before or after Christmas. And guess what, kids probably still enjoyed it a lot.

Am I correct in saying that this year’s Advent Calendar is an extremely poor seller? I don’t remember previous versions being slashed to almost half price before Christmas. Young children - the set’s main target group, as some people keep insisting - aren’t buying enough!

UCS MF available for double vip points today! How many people told me 'it will never be on double points!' when it came out. Saves me 85 euro in Belgium ... so far a much better deal than the black VIP card heh heh.

I find it hilarious that the 'inside' people who see leaked images of these sets are always the kind of non-SW collectors who 'I don't remember' and who 'I'm not sure'. It's never one of those fanatics you get in here who would see a picture for five seconds and be able to write a 5000 word essay about it. A bit like the Virgin Mary materialising in front of illiterate peasants from Portugal, and not, say, the Nobel Prize jury board. Mmmm.

You know VAT is higher in Belgium than it is in France, don't you? And that invariably accounts for the price difference between countries, for eg ... the UCS MF and the difference in its price between Germany, France and the Benelux?

Looks terrible. With this and the sandspeeder you know it's gonna be another terrible year for Lego Star Wars. Or else they are doing it on purpose so that people have money left for the (admittedly excellent UCS) Falcon.

I see what you mean, but even Sideshow, or Hot Toys for that matter, is a poor example. I mean, when is the next cycle for the OT stormtroopers gonna be? Cause I wasn't collecting HT back then and I would like a couple now ... and demand is clearly there. See what I mean?

Please don't give them ideas. I'm a figma and figuarts collector as well, and Im pretty ambivalent about the supposed benefits of preordering. What if, as often happens with the Japanese stuff, preorders close early and you don't get your order in? It happens often with the more popular figures. Would hate it to happen with Lego. The beauty of collecting Lego is that the stuff is always readily available, with the rarest exceptions like the Saturn V set and this one, and it's only a matger of time till they're available again. On the other hand, as you surely know, goodluck getting your hands on a figma once they're sold out, unless you buy it for double the price on the aftermarket.
