But what if the box you're pulling from has, say, 18 packs left in it but doesn't have any more of that figure you're looking for? Then you'd have 18 figures and none of the one you wanted. If you'd purchased a 6-pack that definitely included the one figure you were looking for, you'd be better off with 5 unwanted spares instead of 18 unwanted spares and still not having what you wanted. - MJ

Well, they did it somehow for the earlier series with the dot codes so there must be a way of stamping the boxes, too. - MJ

While I'm far from thrilled with this turn of events, I'll wait and see what the reaction is from Lego before worrying about the sky falling. I hope the reaction we're seeing on this forum is indicative of what's happening on all forums and Lego notices. It's probably not financially feasible for them to indicate the enclosed character on the package because then they would need to print 12 different packages instead of one generic package but maybe they can still find a way of including a code a-la the dots on the bottom of the bags. Or perhaps, in addition to individual boxes, they'll actualy sell 12-packs that include one of each figure so anyone who wants a set can do so. We still have a few months to let Lego hear our voices and choose a helpful path. - MJ

That's more of "an idea for another modular down the line" rather than a guess at what's coming in January. I'd be shocked if I managed to pull a correct guess that accurate out of thin air! - MJ

Instead of an abandoned building, how about a half & half modular like the pet shop except one of the buildings has a "For Rent" sign in the front window and some boxes stacked in the corner? No need for any additional furnishings except for perhaps a rat/mouse. - MJ

I really hope they release a Mos Eisley battle pack - or even better, a "people" pack - to compliment this set. I'm actually rather surprised one wasn't released on the same day as this since anyone springing for the set would likely pick up the additional aliens. By my count, this set still needs: 2 or 3 more Bith 2 Duros Snaggletooth Muftak (the white furry thing that looks like it is smoking) BoShek Nabrun Lieds Dannik Jerriko There are many others they could add as well, but the above would fill the place out nicely.

Found the remains of a box at a Los Angeles Walmart today. Only 21 left so I bought them all, sprayed them down with Lysol upon getting home, and much to my surprise I ended up with a full set. I wonder if Walmart will take the others back. If not, to the neighbor kid they go!

I wonder if Lego would consider a minifigure set of the Doctors - not a CMF series, but simply a full set - as a convention exclusive. Only available, say, at the San Diego Comic Con. They already have the figure designs... I wonder how expensive and difficult it would be for them to produce and target such a set to a place which, most likely, contains the highest density of WHO fans all in one place. - MJ
