  1. Hoping someone puts together a UCS style placard for the new Tantive IV set. Either that, or maybe TLG starts making the original again? Either way, I'm interested.
  2. The big ones that came with the 10179 and 75192. I'd post a picture but I keep getting upload errors.
  3. These are back in stock. Also, the yellow 5x5 technic pieces are now available through Bricks and Pieces as well. I've edited the OP with the new Element ID and Design number for reference.
  4. Thanks for the tip regarding the yellow 90 degree parts. I'll be lurking on those next!
  5. PaB in the US finally has the light grey engine lattice in stock. Element ID 6172809. Get them while they are still cheap! I've been waiting for this day for a while. Hope others can get in on this. March 10 2018 Edit - The Engine Lattices are back in stock @ Bricks and Pieces. Also, the 5x5 Yellow 90 degree Technic pieces are available (Thanks Taj Mahal Re-Release!). Element ID 6222428, Design number 28973. And remember, the 5x5 pieces were used in 10221 as well. :) Go get 'em!
  6. Just found this thread so I'm several weeks late to the party. I wanted to share my experience with this style mod in the hopes that it helps you with your efforts. A while back, I put together a similar mod for my 10179 based off original designs by Pepa Quin and Scottish Dave. (Model can be found here -> https://mecabricks.com/en/models/LGVjKJ0m2nz) At first, the design worked perfectly but the design's flaws started to show several months down the line. Specifically, the connecting pins at the far ends of the engine would slip out from the pressure being applied by the curvature of the engine itself. Maybe the use of two pins, as with your design, will overcome/prolong the longevity but you might want to consider some auxiliary bracing to help disburse the pressure elsewhere. I really love the resurgence in the interest of the UCS MF. Hopefully my experience helps inspire design improvements that we all can enjoy. Good luck!
  7. Man, it's been nearly a month since the Early Access release. I must admit, I'm surprised that Lego hasn't released the new online batch by now.
  8. Was anyone in the US actually able to order one?
  9. Site is not up in the US. Still can't log in. Managed to log in on mobile. MF still shows Add to Wishlist...
  10. Willing to bet they took LegoID offline to prevent overcommitment.
  11. Can you, or anyone for that matter, show me where Lego actually states that VIPs will get early access to the MF? Because none of the marketing materials that I've received, read, or watched actually states the MF is being provided via VIP early access. Nevermind. I'm a blind idiot. These are not the droids you are looking for...
  12. But an iphone only lasts two years. This will last a lifetime!
  13. This is a day one purchase for me. The challenge will be displaying my BL'd MF and this new one side by side. I have some ideas though. :) Speaking of bricklinked MIllennium Falcons, am I the only one looking forward to buying the masts for a reasonable price via Bricks and Pieces? :)
  14. Speaking as someone who bricklinked the UCS MF, I'll be more than happy if/when Lego re-releases this set. There is a distinct difference in the accomplishment one feels when building a complete, off the shelf set and building a set that was pieced together one by one. Each is rewarding in a very different way and only those that have done so will be able to relate. Big thanks to Stash2Sixx for the info. I'm cautiously looking forward to Sept/Oct. :)
  15. I love how so many of us are still optimistic about the re-release of the MF. :) This set will be a day one purchase for me. I've already warned the wife. House purchase be damned.

Assault on Hoth should not be in the UCS category. Period. It is a play set. Nothing more. Death Star V2 version II (yes, that was intentional) is a cash grab. I'd love to see a reference that shows TLG actually pays Disney and Lucasfilm licensing rights. That makes no sense to me. And on a related note, I feel that disappointment towards UCS sets will always be a "thing" until TLG re-releases 10221, 10179, and/or 10030. Even then, people will still complain.
  17. So is ordering tied to each time zone's crossing into June 1? I really want to pick this up as soon as it comes out. :)
  18. Bricklinking the UCS MF was one of the most rewarding lego experiences I've ever had. Yes, it was expensive even though I cut many corners (I refused to pay $200 for the engine parts) and it was still worth every penny. Call it what you want but until you've actually assembled a UCS MF then you really don't know what you are missing.
  19. I was honestly underwhelmed with the first round of TFA lego sets and was hoping the release of the movie would yield more interesting designs. Now my only hope are the potentially unannounced UCS sets. Here's to hoping...
  20. My apologies for the months late response. My UCS stand is a modified version of the stand in The Tumbler (76023). I simply made it larger so the modified stand could accommodate all five of the UCS MF minifigs. Sadly, I never took an inventory of the extra pieces that I bought because I already owned The Tumbler at the time. I simply looked at the stand and estimated how many extra pieces I would need to buy.
  21. Welcome to the club! Once you've finished your build I'd love to hear what you think about the black lattice substitution for the engines. I initially went that route but did not like how the substitution changed the aesthetics of the engines. Ultimately, I opted for the engine mod created by Pepa Quin and made famous by ScottishDave (he put LEDs in there!).

Thank you for pointing that out. I must have overlooked that detail in my haste to get all of the parts ordered before the prices got jacked up. Now I will feel even better about the accuracy of my Bat Pod, assuming I receive all of the parts/sets I ordered.

Not sure if you are in the US, but if so, here is what I did. Someone on Reddit pointed out that 44027 has three dark pearl gray 92222 pieces which are VERY close to the black version that is supposedly included in the official Bat-pod. 44027 is officially retired, however, ToysRUs.com still has 44027 in stock. I ordered two 44027 kits myself. Let's hope they fulfill the order. :fingerscrossed: Also, Lego's Bricks and Pieces has the Batpod tires back in stock as of this post. Anyone interested in these parts should hurry up and order them asap.
  24. I just bricklinked all of the parts except the tires and the shield pieces. I wish I would have picked up the tires from Lego when they were in stock. Now I have to wait in the hopes that they will be available again or overpay for a set on bricklink.
  25. Sorry for the late reply. Your thinking is correct. The plates automatically spread when you connect the end pieces. This mod is significantly less expensive than the official UCS design. I just wish I would have taken the time to figure out the mod's design and incorporate its inventory before I spent a dime on parts.
