  1. @Philo Thanks... looks nice. I'll try it right away
  2. @Superkalle Acknowledged Yes I know about LDraw and LeoCAD, but LDD is sooooo comfortable to use... Best regards HAL
  3. Hi DrJB. This answers my question. Thank you. Now I can proceed building in LDD without the doubts I had before. Best regards HAL
  4. Hi DrJB, and thanks for answering. I'm just wondering, because: In the 8880 the connection between the rim and the drive train is contructed out of the 2999 Technic Large Wheel Hub & 2907 Technic Ball with Grooves. This Connection is flexible in all directions including rotation of the drivetrain. In the parts available in LDD the connection between the rim and the drive train is constructed out of the 92909 3 Snap GearBlok & 32494 LT Cardan Ball ... and I'm wondering (because of that T-Struts mounted to the ball head of the 32494 - needed as gear for rotation) if this technical solution is similarly flexible as the old technical solution from the 8880. I don't own the new parts - so I don't know better. But the more I look at the new parts there is a feeling that I miss something. Maybe I'm wrong and both solutions are technically the same. Are they? Here's a picture I made The connection is already bend (red line) The car is actually driving - so we have rotation (blue) And now I steer to the left or right (green / green dot) Possible ?
  5. Oh okay, thats sad to hear. In the meanwhile I looked for a way to add custom parts to LDD. [Content removed by admin]
  6. Hi GrandDuke, and thanks for answering. I have - a dozen times before, but no model seems to feature the requirements/conditions I mentioned above. The Models have either wheel suspensions with: Steering -> but then NO DRIVE TRAIN possible because of the characteristics of the parts. Drive train -> but then NO STEERING possible because of the characteristics of the parts. Suspension -> hard to realize as mentioned above with stupid WheelBearing / 3Snap Gear Blok / LT Cardan Ball Try to build a working wheel suspension with these parts in LDD with working steering + drivetrain + suspension COMBINED - that means UP/DOWN + LEFT/RIGHT + ROTATION Seems Impossible to me with this parts. Any ideas besides waiting until 8880 suspension parts are integrated into LDD ?! Greets HAL
  7. Hi there! In short: I want that topic for all the people that need an example of how to use a part IN or FOR or wonder how to use it correct. I'll start: I wonder why they made a totally USELESS: 1. WheelBearing 2. 3SnapGearBlok 3. LTCardanBall Can somebody explain to me please. My problem here is: If i use a CrossAxle 5M and Unuversal Joint = flexible suspension + rotation OK / but no steering If I use the LT Cardan Ball its either a working suspension OR steering... and only rotation IF there is NO angle but a straight in line with the 3Snap Gear Blok So why or what for did they make these parts for? It could not be for a good wheel suspension with a combo of steering/suspension/drive train! Im soooo confused! I used to build the 1994 Super Car 8880 suspension. But these parts are not yet included in the LDD. Any ideas? Maybe I'm stupid... but I can not see how to build a steer/suspension/drivetrain combo with these parts, like in the 1994 8880 model. Here are some pictures to help with the imagination and a link to a very good explaination on the 8880. Essentials of the wheel suspension: All three action possible, (steering+suspension+rotation). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for reading. Best regards HAL
  8. Hi there! I have a serious problem here. So please hear me out. I'm a big LEGO Technic fan. As a kid, I used to build a lot. Now with the LDD at my hands I wanted to start again. But my excitement was gone in minutes! I like building cars. But there are a few VERY ESSENTIAL parts missing here. Essential because this are the only parts to support a wheel suspension WITH steering AND a flexible drive train. How can you even start building a realistic car without these? These parts where available in the 1994 Super Car Model (8880). I still own it . PLEASE be so kind and add the following parts PLEASE !!! I BEG YOU !!!! x 2999 OldGray Technic Large Wheel Hub x 6540a OldGray / White Technic Steering Arm Large with Hole 8 2738 Blue Technic Beam Split 2 x 6 Towball Coupling x 6549 Black Technic 4 Speed Shift Lever x 6543 White Technic Supercar Gear Shift Plate 6 x 4 x 2998 White Wheel 81.6 x 34 ZR for Large Wheel Hub x 2997 Black Tyre 81.6 x 34 ZR for Large Wheel Hub Thanks for reading. With best regards. HAL
