EB Xmas Raffle 2013
Here's my entry, Bilbo's/Frodo's sword Sting in all its orc-detecting glory: It isn't really complete without an orc to make it glow; but then again, who would want to hang an orc on their christmas tree? Thanks for the great raffle, CopMike!

EB SW Xmas raffle 2012
Much to the joy of the Wampa (and of Luke, as he doesn't have to fight the Wampa anymore ), Santa Yoda didn't forget any planet or creature on his quest to spread holiday cheer in that galaxy far, far away... Thanks for the great raffle and Merry Christmas, everyone!

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
I am aware of that, but we don't have any information about these next waves, so why should there be a topic about them? I really like the Bilbo minifigure; since he has the same hair as Sam, he is bound to look somewhat like him, but his face print is different enough for him to be recognized as Bilbo. His (and Nori's) hair color might be a bit off, but I think it would be boring if everyone's hair was reddish brown. I wonder why Thorin and Nori were on display, though; they clearly aren't part of the Bag Ends set, so I guess it was a mistake as the figs were removed almost immediately. The only thing bothering me is the color of Thorin's body; I think it should be dark blue instead of grey/black.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
I don't think that would be necessary - the Hobbit sets will be released in December, which is in 2012 The two faces for Gimli are indeed not very useful, but I think the eyebrows look different. Since you are able to see them, you can give Gimli a "normal" and a frowning face.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
And unnumbered bags would change that? I think a lot of OT fans interested in UCS sets wil like it - thanks to the other LEGO renditions, it is known nearly as well as the more iconic vehicles like the X or Y-Wing (to LEGO fans, at least), which makes it the perfect addition to any serious OT fan's UCS collection. Besides, TLG only has to include some new minifigs to make sure it sells well; after managing to include some in both the Executor and R2, a B-Wing shouldn't be a problem.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
Said thread can be found here. @wghost: The quality of the bricks in Star Wars sets has always been great, and since LotR could be an equally successfull license I doubt they would use cheap plastic for it - especially not in the first sets.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
Determined by fans or by an official statement from TLG? This picture isn't from the Toy Fair, it is "just" a MOC. I agree that a Mumakil would make a great set, though.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
While I would love to see battle packs without any bricks, I'm afraid TLG knows that it can demand more money if it throws in some rocks or a small tree - people will buy the battle packs anyway. The collectable minifigures mentioned in the first post could turn out to be a great way to get many figs for cheap; I for one would love to get generic soldiers and/or characters in "surprise" bags for 3$ each

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
I actually believe this is just a shadow - even a black fig would show some details, all that I can see is a black space which doesn't resemble a minifig at all except for a somewhat similar outline. I doubt that whoever took this picture would have simply ignored the Interceptor, which means it probably wasn't displayed at all.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
Don't worry, there are plenty of sites which still have them (or rather it as there is just one picture of LotR) - fbtb, for instance. Theoden's helmet looks quite accurate; I wouldn't mind if they used it for Eomer as well as long as the overall appearance is pleasing.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2012
I guess it is too far to the left to be seen - the Uruk Army isn't completely visible neither. It is somewhat a pity that the picture is focused on Shelob as we got a pretty good look at her on that poster yesterday, but at least you can see the other side of Helm's Deep - I love the small door, there is even some sort of catapult to get Gimli across.
-
EB SW X-mas Raffle 2011
I doubt it - the picture shown here features several minifigures which aren't in any Category. I guess I was very lucky to get Dengar, but the other possibilites aren't bad either

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Don't forget Snape's and Piett's heads I usually don't mind reused pieces, every new piece means the price will be higher for the same amount of bricks. The exceptions are clone wars faces - Palpatine would look ridiculous with those huge eyes. Besides, I think it is quite probable that he will get a double-faced head, one normal and one evil expression.
