  1. So it was running good enough to have a more extended test. but steering not good enough, and still some improvement to make an the wheels.
  2. Ready Building. Finalized the last parts. -Control units for motor and steering. -Throttle and back/forward switch. -four-point belt. -improved bottle holder -made it possible to change the gearing for power on the wheels from 0.6:1 to 1:1 to get it driving faster. See more Pictures at MEGLug
  3. I'm a purist, Don't ever ask me that again!!!! :):):):) Will you help? pieces will be counted....when i have time and its weight is around 60 kg
  4. My creation for LegoWorld 2012 in Zwolle(NL)has reached a first big step in the development: Driving. testing to see if it is capable to drive with a person sitting on it. Still a lot of work to be done. Main target: steering. you can see some pictures and a movie on The NXT STEP OK, BURF won the bet of who was capable of doing this with his Wheelchair, but we will drive together on Legoworld
  5. Because ramacco wanted to build them, i have made a MlCad file of the improved design of ZBLJ Mecanum wheels. So i share them. They are super to play with. mecanum.zip
  6. The wheels are getting rear, but for the ones living in the Netherlands and want to build the car with the original tires, this might be an option: http://www.outletpla...419078d686cdbfb Only € 29,95 for the muscle car, you just need 2, so € 15,- for a wheel... and a lot of spare parts....And o my God, this set is ugly! Or just use some other wheels you own and ad some spoilers, etc. and more pictures Brickshelf
  7. I'm not hungarian , but I know more about the Rosetta project in Hungary. The idea is to setup an educational program for kids around the landing of the real Rosetta lander on the comet in 2014. on Vimeo you see all the movies that explain the project. Its all about what it takes to get a lander on a comet. The initial idea off Detlef Koschny, the rosetta comet touchdown, testing the program in Rome and the making of movie. The Hungarian school is one of the two pilot schools to test the program. The program is all about finding out what it takes to get a lander on the comet. Trying to build that with Lego Mindstorms. But its also about what is a comet, what do we know about comets in history, art and other fields of interest on schools. A total project about comets supported by Lego Mindstorms. An other pilot of this project is run in Portugal. They hope to get schools interested in this project all over Europe the next few years. How do I know? I'm one off the three builders you see in the making of. And I'm the owner off the star in the movie "The Rosetta touchdown", the lander.
  8. Yes, the airship was the most interesting construction at Legoworld 2011 Copenhagen. My giant robot was together with the airship (codename BIC5....) the billboards of the Mindstorms booth at the event. There was a lot of other great stuff. Head controlled Football game, Sumo botts, monsterchess and Wall_E, and..... And yes the airship has crashed, and the nice thing was that it was recorded by a on-board camera. The movie of Bazmarc was made during the event. So wait for the nice movies to come........
  9. I've got 2 off the new solar pannels and can confirm that they are as good (bad) as the old ones. I think that they are good for decoration: But......... for the functionality in the education set. Yes , they work good enough!!
  10. The second movie was made on LegoWorld. I was there from Wednesday till Sunday. And Mahjqa was there also, and has seen the wheels.
  11. Yes, at the moment i was building on the wheels, I received my new education solar cells. I thought, WOW, thats a nice combination. To let the wheels even look more futuristic. But it does not work. They can only store 100 Joules of energy. Enough to drive about ..........20 cm. But it looks great. So I left them on it.
  12. I have replaced the gears by the original wheels of the design. They even drive better now on all kinds of surface.
  13. It was taken apart in the same year it was build, 2005!
  14. Just make its face more aggressive. Then you don't only scare Kids. Everybody will be screaming and running away!!!
  15. Hello, Let me correct some misunderstandings in this topic. And tell how it worked. The truck was build in 2005. I posted a lot of pictures on Brickshelf. I'm Dutch. A French kid (StuffC)made a presentation of it on Youtube in 2006. I thought that was very nice. Because he mentioned my name, and so. The music he used was illegal. So they took the movie down in 2008. I made contact with him and I placed the presentation back on my own account, with other music. Arround the same time I found back the small movie on an old mobile phone. That movie was made before I stiffened the wheels. And made a lot of other improvements. But I don't have a better movie. So, where did i use the RCX for. There were 3 remote control sets in it. On one of them I attached a rotation sensor on the steering axle. Then 2 motors were used to steer the truck. on My Brickshelf folder you can see all the pictures.
  16. Zblj, I have build the biggest wheels. Due to a lack of parts i had to redesigned them a little bit. I only have enough rims, not enough tires. So i have replaced the rims with gears (12 Tooth Bevel Gears) And for the inner work I had only 8 Technic, Axle Connector Hub with 3 Axles for all the wheels. I used 2 in each wheel. inner design picture so i used Technic, Axle Connector with Axle Hole insted of Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #1. Thats the only improvement. Because the angle between this parts on the inner en outher side of the rim is 90 degrees. so the wheels are a little bit stronger. A big disadvantage is the lack of the tires when it drives. But overall, a great smooth driving wheel, fun to play with!!! Thanks Zblj!! This is my first post here, so i hope its readable
