Sorry, one last bump. Managed to finish the build. Changed the counterweights to my own design (based on parts available). Also attempted to build the luffing jib from the photos. As you mention, does tend to destabilize everything, so can understand why it was excluded in the digital file. Enjoyed building this, time to start working on the next MOC(s) Photos on bricksafe page. With the different jibs (difficult photo shots)

I had also forgotten about it, almost two years. I was looking for a crane build and contemplating rebuilding Jereon's LTM11200 when I found the ldr file in another folder. I spent a couple of days looking at the file and coming up with a plan how I would build it.

Sorry to bump this topic. I've been working to build this MOC in the intended red/black theme. Definitely been a challenge working from the digital model, but the sub-models structure has really helped. Not finished yet, still to build the ballasts, Y-guy assembly and the various jibs. Its a really good scale with the 49.5 tires, not too heavy that there are problems with the functions and stability. The boom lifts and extends remarkably well (without Y-guy & jib) Thanks for sharing and I will post more photos and maybe a video once I have the jib finished.

Incredible MOC and I'm really interested to build. I downloaded the bill of material from the website and tried to access the DIY links to check what parts I'm missing. The Bricklink link would not work for me and the Brickowl link says the list is not public. Is there another way to share list of parts for easy checking?

Thanks for that information, really helpful. I also got 6281 parts importing the LDR, 6289 when I converted to Studio first. I'm working my way through the color changes and looking forward to trying the build. Main parts I'm missing are for the ballasts.

Great achievement building the LTM11200 at this scale. I'm really interested to try and build it and I appreciate that you have shared the LDR file. I have opened the LDR in a couple of different programs and can drill down to the sub-models. What I'm wondering is best way to generate parts list as I'm getting different total counts depending how I open the file, export and then upload to Rebrickable to check what I'm missing. Which CAD software was the original model built in (MLCad, LeoCad, LDCad?) and what is expected part count? If I can understand that I might be able to figure out correct part mappings. I actually found that Studio does a reasonable job importing and creating an initial instruction. All the best.

I really like the MOC now that it has the Mad Max elements. Would be great if you could get more of an aged rusted look with different colors rather than plain red. Looking forward to the final video.

Incredible work, I'm very impressed. How much time did you spend on planning, ordering and building? Did you plan out all the parts at the beginning or did it evolve over time? Thanks for adding the link to all-the-rockets, I hadn't seen it before and found it quite fascinating. For now I'll need to be content building the new Lego Ideas ISS.

Thanks for putting these videos together. I'll probably get the 42108 Mobile Crane, I like the scale and I imagine there will be plenty of great MODs on the forum.

Its great to see a new crane MOC. Fantastic progress so far, love the color scheme. Looking forward to seeing more progress, especially once you start to build it. I'm intrigued how the pistons are going to work.

In that case I really encourage you to make this a project for several months, finding the parts for best price will be as challenging as the MOC. One thing I did, which was a good lead up to this MOC in terms of spreading costs, was build some of the other cranes on Rebirckable i.e. I choose red as base color and then worked my way up through the Ultimate 42009 (JurgenKrooShoop), Grove GMK6400 (motomatt), Crane Construcion (Peteria) and then the LTM11200 [and subsequently with those parts the LR11000 (Olejka)]. This method I felt less guilt of purchasing parts and also gained a lot of experience. I also seem to have much more fascination with cranes these days and watch a lot of YouTube videos :-) The superstructure I didn't have major issues with build and functionality, but the boom may be challenging to operate once built - perhaps you could help with improvements there. I hope to one day come back to building this MOC again and try some modifications based on some other MOC's I've seen, some possible custom parts etc. For interest in cranes, one day to build at even bigger scale like crawler 1:20

I think it would be fairly expensive exercise to build from scratch - based on some of the 'Lego' part cost estimates on Rebrickable it could set you back upwards of $2000. I have been building MOC's for several years and was fortunate to have > 90% of parts after I changed the color scheme to red/black. On top of this I still had to spend about $150 for missing parts - I normally consider what other MOC's I might build to justify the investment. It really depends if you have the money upfront, whether you are willing to spend several days trying to source parts at best possible price (Lego Store, Bricklink, Brickowl, Toypro, Ebay etc). There is no 'endorsed' set available as far as I know, unless Jeroen plans to make it available through one of the crowd-sourced MOC websites that provide all the parts (maybe it would be a nice option) I would not buy this MOC model on any website, it is intended to be built with real Lego and the instructions should be purchased from the designer directly. I have seen all the comments regarding how bad the parts are in these knock-off sets. I was very sad when I even saw some of my own photos that I've shared being used to promote these.
