  1. Those trees! Just... wow.
  2. It looks like the Nick site has updated, with all the video segments One of the video segments and several preview clips. I'm watching them now! http://www.nick.com/legoelves/
  3. I wonder why they wouldn't do that instead of Pick-A-Model too, especially since (at least when I saw it) there didn't seem to be much flexibility in what pieces to pick. It's not like you could opt to make the models in two different colour combinations, or something like that. All it really adds is the novelty of assembling the pack yourself, and the increased risk of accidentally missing pieces. Perhaps the risk with the cheap polybags is that all those parents who promised their kids they could buy some Lego if they were good, would get away with those instead of a $20 kit
  4. Welcome Simon! Those are some lovely MOCs!
  5. My Lego store had one on display but none in stock. The employees were apologizing to everyone who stopped to look at it.
  6. Did anyone else spot this already? http://www.nick.com/legoelves/ Although I'd like to know if there are any plans for the Elves special to air in Canada...
  7. The Junior set is probably a bit simple/young for the Friends brand. And I'm guessing they don't want to be perceived as forcing all of the girl-oriented stuff into the minidoll-related brands.

It seems to say that the Saturday & Sunday are for "Families and LEGO Fans of all ages" and "Adult LEGO fans - Plan to attend all four days" so presumably the space would have to be all-ages.
  9. Hey everyone! I'm girlontheleft, I'm from around Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've been lurking off and on for a couple years now, and finally figured out why I was having so much trouble registering. (Stupid overactive spam trap). Oh well, glad to finally be joining you all! I grew up building Lego spaceships with my older brother. He got our old stash of Lego when he moved out... but I got back into it again when Lego opened its first store locally about three years ago, and I spotted the Friends treehouse, which got me started on building my own collection. My hubby and I now have a big ol' bin of Lego... and we justify adding to it by saying that when our baby boy is old enough, he'll have TONS of Lego waiting for him (Well ok, I'm keeping the modular sets for myself.) Right now I'm looking forward to finally building my Parisian Restaurant and anchoring it next to my Grand Emporium. I have aspirations of building an EPIC treehouse too. Time is scarce though!
