  1. A purplecoat would likely be a politician but for some reason nor Broadside or Woodhouse (Wait he's not even a governor) and not even Captain Speedy, wear purple. I guess they're just to proud of their colors? And on the terms of Imperial Armada as Green: The Spanish aren't green. The Hessians are green!
  2. Yeah... There was only two sets and one of those were renewed in 2001. They weren't very big and the minifigures weren't very interesting in my opinion.
  3. Uh oh... I always had a feeling I misspelled it! I'll have to go and ask a moderator to rename me. Well, a leutinant is an officer, so actually we're equals! But, if you're above the lieutinant rank, then yes, you'd be my boss (to an extant)
  4. I don't think you can resize an image on the tablet. Is there an alternative?

So i haven't posted much MOCs lately, or posted at all really. The reason for this is that my computer's fan is broken and my computer overheats every 20 minutes or so. So i decided to grab my recently obtained Soldiers' Outpost and rebuild it as Soldiers' Keep. The image is too big so i'll have to put it in a spoiler. The MOC includes a tower with two floors: One with a chest, and the roof. The roof consists of a cannon, a small area to store the ammunition, and a small wooden platform to stand on. The first floor has four windows and is a bit inaccessible due to lack of parts. The tower is decorated with red 2x3 bricks and brown 2x2 cylinders, and many doorway/window top parts. There is a dock on either side, one with barrels/cargo, and the other with a catapult. a mast (a bit too piratey for a soldiers set.), a barrel containing a fish, ammunition and a molotov. There is also a flag on the top of the tower. The minifigures included are a Pirate, a Bluecoat Officer, a Bluecoat Soldier, an Octopus and a Crab.
  6. I don't know if this would be off-topic or not, but i can't understand the tutorial because the "Imageshack" images won't show up, and instead show a "Click and Discover Imageshack" image instead. Help?
  7. Thanks, I still wonder why i didn't use the masonry bricks before... Well, I had to use it for something eventually. At least Martinet finally gets his own "Fort", if i should call it that. Maybe that soldier near Martinet was a bit much, but i felt it was too barren. Also, my aim is to have my sets feel official-ish, and seem like it would be a real set, which is kind of like a goldilocks zone. Not too detailed, not too simple, just like official sets. I'd guess this would be about 10 or 15 dollars, considering its size compared to the twenty-dollar Soldier's Fort. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Dedication can make you an excellent MOC maker. This is the outpost you've all been waiting for/the one I kept mentioning. Ladies and Gentlemen, Martinet Outpost. Additional Images: Included is a dinghy, which is not too different from my Imperial Dinghy MOC, only that it lacks a lantern and a turntable sail, and has an Imperial Soldiers Flag. Also included is a Sailor, two Imperial Soldiers, and Leutinant de Martinet. I've decided from now on I'll use brick-patterned bricks in my wall designs, so it looks much more detailed than my other MOCs. The first floor has a chest (with 3 red, blue, and green gems.) and a barrel, the second floor has a barrel (Sheesh, why do I always spam barrels?) and finally, the third floor has an Imperial Soldiers flag. The walls now use a design similar to that of the Soldier's Fort's breakable wall, and I'm also using the same Door design as Soldier's Fort. I also used the SNOT technique on the crenellations, and added half of a bridge (I'm going to make another set with the other half, so that you can connect the two sets. Special Thanks To: 1999bug/AnonymousBug for Lt. De Martinet w/ Pupils decal. lomis for Imperial Soldier Torso decals and Backpack-On-Epaulets technique. Captain Braunsfeld, Captain Dee, and again lomis for motivating me to make more MOCs. Enjoy!
  9. Wait, we have a boat list in the index? Hm, didn't know about that... I just used my memory of ships/your suggestion of a Gaff-Rigged Sloop... I'll check it out later. Oh and I think I'll build a Skiff after the outpost, but I don't know for sure, so we'll just have to see.
  10. I plan on building an Outpost after this, and I don't know what after that... Probably another ship. As for the Bowsprit, you're right... I knew there was something wrong with that browsprit.
  11. Uhhh... Aren't the Imperial Soldiers blue, and the Imperial Guards red? Did you make a naming mistake, or did you mean to say "But" and not "Because"? Anyway, another reason why I like the Imperial Soldiers: Blue is a better camouflage than red. Blue fits in with the oceanic background and sky, while red is basically a target with legs shouting "Shoot Me!". Edit: Wait a minute... Which page was a reading? I think that was an old post...
  12. Woah! Where'd you get those decals? I've been looking all over the place for modern Imperial Soldiers decals that worked in LDD. Anyway, thank you for the .LXF, I'll use that backpack combination with all the MOCs I make from now on.
  13. Thanks, I actually have been getting better. This is how I built my MOCs two years ago: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/lego/images/9/91/Custom_Creators.png/revision/latest?cb=20131026132955 (Sorry about the link: Image extension isn't allowed on the community.) Thats an embarrassment to every MOC builder on the planet. If I understood you correctly, I have added back the launchers which I think are the "Stern Cannons" you were talking about.

One Mast 7C I made a dinghy, I made a Sloop... But I forgot all about the sailboat! It includes a Sailboat, of course, and a shark. Also included is a Sailor and Imperial Soldier, just like the dinghy did. I did a nice little design with a white lining and dark blue flooring, as well as a turntable cannon and a turntable sail. Feel free to give me your opinions! Changelog: - Removed Bowsprit
  15. Bowsprit: Done. Uses the TECHNIC pieces and looks much better (I as well thought the bowsprit didn't look good.) Cannons: Oh, uh... Misheard you there, I thought you meant two cannons to the sides... (Then again, the sloop would be too crowded with the cannon in the middle.) Tiller: The sloop is too big for the use of a tiller. I'm sticking with the steering wheel. I'd love to hear any more suggestions you have.
