Hi all Been a lot longer than I intended! There’s a few photos in the link showing the updates. We sold and broke down a bunch of stuff, and added the rollercoaster, sanctum sanctorum, green grocer and a few random buildings. The new lights are in and the random figs are out the way in frames I made up. I’ve scrapped the train idea for now! The rollercoaster is in its place but the buildings are not finalised yet, feels like it needs the corner garage too ? I just ordered all new matching road baseplates from Lego and then will start to place everything and use all the tiles And street decoration I’ve been buying. Lighting kits and extra floors for some of the builds are also being planned, as well as something large for the corner ? Will be back soon with more... Album
  2. https://m.facebook.com/Qsk95LegoModel/posts/?_rdr Not sure if this link will work. It’s actually 30000 bricks! You can see the size of a real one there too, it’s not massively different in area to one of the two 60s that go in the liebherr excavator ?
  3. Haha it’s been a while since I’ve seen it but if I remember correctly it’s not full engine and they wouldn’t share the plans with me! I think lego themselves designed it and charged a small fortune for design, bricks and instructions. It was impressive none the less and the bit I did get to build was fun. Will search for the videos and photos.
  4. I work for the company that supplies Liebherr with the two very large engines (2x60L) that drive this excavator in real life ? I may have persuaded them to let us buy the set to use it for STEM activities at the schools we go to! We’re disappointed it doesn’t have any of our branding but may add our own ? Looking forward to going through this post and reviewing some of the videos for functionality and what we’ll be able to do with it ? we also have a 25000 piece bespoke (lego designed) section of a 95L engine with working power cylinders etc, will try to dig out some pictures as it’s back in the US at the moment!

Spent the last few days organising and stripping down an old park MOC, still got 6 houses, millennium falcon, simpsons house and orthanc to strip down, think I’ll sell the orthanc and keep the rest in parts. Have to constantly keep resizing my organisers as I find more and more ? found a second millennium falcon (old mid sized one) and the old Arkham asylum to mod and go on shelves out the way too. Think I’m going to need to find some alternate colour sets to breakdown to help with the new MOCs. (lighting is still terrible!!) any help identifying set number on the yellow house with black roof please?
  7. Looks amazing, really loving some of the techniques and colour schemes used! Took me a few seconds to realise what was going on with the floor made up of 1x1 w/stud on front, love it!

Hi all Its been a long time coming but we finally had half a room to spare for lego (and a desk), so I’ve been busy building and fitting and the area is pretty much complete now. Thought I’d share the new area with you and update as I get time to start putting stuff back together. Still have a second light fitting to get in to illuminate it correctly. It’s 3m long one way and 2m the other ? My lego has been in storage for about two years and was under utilised before that, although we amassed quite a collection. Have been unloading the boxes and already filled all the drawers and cupboard with pieces, and sets in boxes. The plan is to make a long modular building/town area with some greenery and I’d really like to get a train going. We have the grand emporium, cinema, town hall and assembly square already which will go straight in. Also have tower of orthanc, simpsons house, and many creator houses which I plan to either sell or use to make further MOC buildings. I also spent the last 5 years collecting random bits from PAB, B&Ps and eBay which will be used, must be well over 20000 pieces plus another 20000 in sets I don’t mind breaking down ? Question for the more experienced; the desk is only 600mm deep on the straight section making it difficult to create a continuos train track. I hoped to run it down the back of the buildings sobit could Lee going round. Any experience with the R24 track that can be bought so I can turn it round at the narrow end? Alternatively can I easily automate it to go forwards and back when it reaches the ends? I have the last gen passenger train with PF. Will be back with more in coming weeks! Dave

Hi all Im back 4 years later after not much time for building! We’ve had our first child and moved into a new house, so finally enough space to get some lego out on display ? Have collected quite a number of sets and individual bricks at every opportunity and been stashing them away for when I was ready. I sold all the Star Wars sets I mentioned before as I’d got them cheap and they went up, gladly I did it before the newer sets came ? have since got into the modular buildings and think we’ll be doing a city display. look forward to seeing everyone around here! Thanks for all the welcomes :) It's all still in progress, I have the bits for the trees now and plenty more green and blue plates for making it bigger. The cabin now has a much better looking roof and windows after a trip to the Stratford PAB wall!

Hi all I've been lurking for several weeks now after getting back into lego building last year. My girlfriend bought me the superheroes game for my xbox and that sparked a desire to get my vintage set out of the loft and start adding to my collection. I quickly bought the millenium falcon, star destroyer and at-at sets from a local shop. Found these all to be great sets with lots of new techniques since my childhood! Since then I've collected all of the new avengers sets (except the helicarrier) and also an almost complete tower of orthanc. All great sets but they did not satisfy my urge for something big and more detailed. That's when I discovered MOCs and this great forum. After reading through the medieval village guide in wonder I decided to start collecting pieces and try something of my own using some of those techniques. So far I've probably bought another 3-4 thousand pieces (lots of small bits) and started my own MOC. I'm not so happy with it at the moment and will be changing it up a fair bit but am still collecting pieces for it. I'd like to try something lord of the rings or game of thrones inspired next but many more pieces needed! I'll post some pics shortly so you can have a look :) Thanks Diz Hopefully this works :) https://flic.kr/s/aHskaQG2XB https://flic.kr/s/aHskaNTkrb
