  1. The mould was produced in 2012 and didn’t receive any changes since, as reflected by a single part number in LEGO’s database. A lot of pieces have a date on them that goes back a year before the set it was in got into production.
  2. Highly doubt it. There are ten sellers on bricklink including some of the biggest German stores. I don’t think they would risk their livelihood to sell KO pieces on Bricklink. I have asked him anyway, he’s going to check this evening. Edit: they’re genuine. Click the picture for full resolution photo.
  3. These are actually for sale on Bricklink for some reason. A friend of mine has four of them. My guess is some of these sneaked their way out of the factory. https://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=11954&colorID=34
  4. It's the same on my model. If I put my model in 1st gear, highest engine RPM, and pull the right paddle it goes to the slowest engine RPM, 8th gear.
  5. It’s half a stud out in mine: Other than that I wouldn’t have a clue what you were referring to.
  6. The new Mindstorms set includes at least one white Defender wheelarch, as well as what seems to be dark turqoise making a return to Technic.
  7. The black 32039 connector at the skirts should poke out half a stud out. What's my prize?
  8. It wasn't exactly clear in the instructions either. I pointed them down eventually because that's how it looked in promo pictures.
  9. @Blakbird Amazing job! If I might comment, the 21/22 panels on the sides at the front should be pointing down a bit. Otherwise I can't really spot anything you did wrong.
  10. His bricksafe is still active: https://bricksafe.com/files/Thorsten50/PDF/McLaren F1.pdf
  11. Indeed they don’t work. The link is wrong. https://www.lego.com/en-us/campaigns/lamborghini-sian/videocasts
  12. I've seen someone work on a red one. A friend of mine painted a few pieces for him. You can see he's using LBG/silver pieces. In the real one the rear light is transparent when it's off. However depending who you ask, a Lamborghini should never be red
  13. There seems to be quite an easy way to add HOG steering. Below the dash there is quite a lot of empty space (3-4 studs in some places). The steering wheel has three gears between its axle and the rack. If you put three of those same gears on the other side you're already close. Just need to route it to the middle and up through the dash (this requires a small mod though). Anyone up for the task?
  14. Not even in black actually without painting. There aren’t any colours that have all the pieces. Orange comes close, but missing 5/6 panels (and possibly more). Yellow might come close after 42114, but still missing the wheelarches (again possibly more) Lime also got close after 42115, missing four pieces that might be replaceable. They’re listed not that far up. White missing wheel arches. I didn’t check for any of these, I’m just going by memory... And yes you can change the colour on rebrickable and see which part gives an error. But there is no instant way to check as far as I know.
  15. Seems like LEGO's instruction team didn't pay a lot of attention
  16. And to this day it’s not fixed. They claimed it would work better or something. The Porsche gearbox was a disaster anyway.
  17. Yeah, I had a look at it too. The 9L liftarms are used at the skirts and very easily replaced by making the one besides it (11L I believe) 2 studs longer and making the 9L —> 7L. The two wings at the rear arches are hardest to replace. The 3x7 curved panels seem quite easy to replace. Maybe wedge plates are a possibility. With the new wheels, callipers and changed interior to DBG like the Sian, you end up with a little more than 60% in common to 42115: https://rebrickable.com/sets/compare/slow/?1-set=42115-1&1-user_list=&2-set=&2-user_list=77540 Funnily enough the Sian has more parts in common with the dark azure Centenario than the Chiron...
  18. I don’t know. I do think they’re separate stocks. You can check if a store has a set in stock on the LEGO site. I don’t know the extent to which it’s accurate. You can always call them and ask if they have anything in stock.
  19. Reverse bypasses the whole gearbox.
  20. Most likely their own software.
  21. There is another minor error in the instructions. The pins aren’t actually needed, as they are already in the chassis.
  22. That's RRP though, and this set isn't exclusive to LEGO so you can probably find it cheaper right away.
