Looks Great, I also do Heavy Transport MOC's but in city scale. What you have done is great, I would love to see a dolly / goose neck added in. I think that would just put the cherry on top, along with smaller diameter wheels on the trailer.

I would keep the 7 wide, the overhang of the roof over the entrance ways looking at it from the front just makes it more realistic.

I find the Clinch Knot works best when connecting string to a hook or onto a reel. Google fishing knots Clinch knot and it should come up.

Hi, Where is the best place for Lego in surfers? I'm a Kiwi coming over for a few days next month and I am hoping to fill my suitcase with great deals. New Zealand, I feel is the most expensive place to buy Lego. for example the City Auto transporter 60060 is $35.00AU, and $49.00NZ (not on sale) Even with exchange rate, I would only be paying $38.00 NZ. But on the bright side, NZ shops are the last place to stock old sets before you have to be mugged by online dealers

I emailed TW Yesterday asking why some stores hold back some stock ie the Simpson house before a large sale / deal is on. Going by some of the prior posts. Thanks for your note regarding comments about some stores holding stock out the back. I can only answer this in general terms as a number of stores may manage this in a number of different ways. This weekend we do have a choose your own discount promotion that does not exclude any of what we call Limited Distribution Lego Sets including the Simpson House “very popular”. Some stores may have held back some of the Simpson House & other Limited Distribution Sets for future promotions coming up that feature these items. The difficulty that store owners have is trying to estimate & forecast the quantity required, they need to do this up to 6 months in advance and they only get one order opportunity & can’t repeat on any items. Best way I can describe this is lets’ say, a store ordered 10 of a Limited Distribution Set, they get all the stock in one drop normally up front & may decide to have 5 for launch or customer pre-orders, they may also have a promotional feature 2 months’ time that would actually feature these sets at a product & price, all store owners would need to reserve some stock for this type of feature, as it would be a breach of advertising standards to do this without having the stock available in reasonable numbers. The promotion this weekend has highlighted the popularity of all of the Limited Distribution sets, with the Simpson house being an absolute winner, I was in 3 stores yesterday where they have sold all of the stock that was meant to last until August. Good news is we do have an order due in September for Christmas. If you know examples of any stores not doing the right thing with availability of Limited Distribution Sets please drop me a note & I will follow up with them directly, to ensure they are play by the rules. We are always looking at ways to improve things, if you or any of your colleagues have any thoughts or ideas please let us know, feel free to drop me a note anytime or alternatively drop in to any of our stores to see if you can build a relationship with the store owners as they quite often have access to information on stock availability & can let you know when sets are released etc. We also have our online store that has good stock of most LEGO items & Limited Distribution but like the bricks & mortar stores has been inundated with orders over the last few days & sold out of about 4 of the limited distribution sets by Friday night, like the stores I mentioned above they held no stock back.

Wellington TW sold out of their lot of 20 Simpson houses by 10:15 this morning. I got the last one!.

I too was at the expo, I think the room was a bit small for the crowd but the right size for the display. There was not much advertising for it, only one I seen was on the fence by the Mt Vic tunnel. But I do have to hand it to McDonalds marketing team. There was a smell in the Hall of a McDonalds restaurant but not a burger or fry to be seen. I am sure if they put a call out next year a lot of us AFOL's would be more than happy to show off our MOC's etc.

How would your low loader from the "hot rod" (truck, trailer and digger) you did the other week look sitting behind this rig? This rig looks superb and I hope Lego designers are watching you and your designs for inspiration or even better....

Anyone in Wellington know about the Lego expo this weekend coming? there is a sign on the Basin side of Mt Vic tunnel advertising it.

Great MOC, Size and style is perfect! Not to big and not to small that you don't miss the features of the real thing. You are missing a bush on the back left of the trailer wheels in the photos.

Anyone parting out the set 60026, I am after the crane only.

Anyone here selling / parting out linear actuators? I am after one large and one small. If they are damaged thats fine as it is not for a lego project / MOC.
