WOW, I forgot about this post as well! Yes it carries Stock and the crates can come off for a flat deck. I'm still mucking around with the grill, trying to get the right balance. the only option is when I order the bricks Ill order for both scenarios, two high grill and 3 high grill and see what looks the best in the final design. Pigpen.
  2. Lego City Cargo Truck 60020. TWH have it for $42.00 (RRP $59) on their webpage today, called my local TWH and they will honour this price as long as I bring in the printed page. Heads up for anyone else who wants this at more than 25.00% off. even though they had it on red alert yesterday that worked out to less than 25% off after postage was added. Pigpen
  3. Just got the last 7939 on shelf at my local WH. I'm parting it out, so if you want anything let me know. I'm keeping the tracks and also the tanker carriage for myself. so the PF, overhead crane, carriages (container and car carrier) truck and trailer with container are available.
  4. WOW, $400.00 for the Simpson house. Just put my name down at the local TW so I could put it on layby, didn't know it was that much, I'm a big fan of Simpsons but not that much. Oh well better start saving and talk to friends in the US and UK see who can ship it over here for me.
  5. What Digger is it?

Family friends own a trucking company and I drew inspiration from one of their best trucks, a Hino. Now to find the time and bricks and build the real one. although it will be pricy getting the bricks into New Zealand.
  7. Just an Idea while at work, adjustable camber that could be adapted for steering axles plus 4WD. might not be that strong in some applications but the principle is there.
  8. How much would you pay for a Technic 8872 (truck/trailer and forklift) with box in NZ? I am thinking of selling mine on trademe
  9. Yeah my mum gave me the Nic-name when I was little, I would always turn up in dirty cloths, even before we got to the car to go out. She got it from the Comic strip Peanuts (with Charlie etc)
  10. New Zealand has the same issue as our neighbours in Australia, Poly bags are not sold here as well. They do crop up from time to time on local auction sites but they are priced through the roof vs piece count.. What is the price of them in the US if they were not on sale?
  11. Someone on facebook buy sell page for wellington just sold a vw camper for $100.00. Someone does not know the true value of lego or needed a "quick sale".They also had the technic flat deck tow truck for sale for 80.00. I'm hoping the dont know the true value of lego not just trying to make a quick buck
  12. Think its time Lego had a competition to design a city vehicle. just like the technic 41999 challenge. even give a few rules or options i.e.: earthworks and transport, passenger, water, etc etc and have a piece limit. - Just an idea.
  13. I will be amazed if they sell their sets for 100% markup!! I'll even take my hat off to them if they are successful.
  14. My last order, 41999 and BTTF had NZ labels on it and return address was a PO box in NZ. Maybe they ship from overseas to their store in Auckland then re-ship to us.
  15. YAY my 41999 just arrived at work. BTTF is on its way on a "slow boat from china". What is even more better. One of my work mates I just found out (due to my parcel) is also a AFOL and she has agreed to combine orders in the future if out orders don't reach the Free shipping mark of $300.00.
  16. My order is still with "customer service" but the BTTF is on back order.
  17. Let's just hope they have allocated X amount of sets to different regions in the world. given that NZ and Aussie make up only 3.0% of their total market. So the formula I would use if I was in their shoes would be % of market for area would be % allocated to that area. 3% of 20,000 = 600!
  18. I too was also lucky to order the 41999 and while I was there also ordered the BTTF @ $54. Now do I open them when I get them or save them for a rainy day? Also has anyone been done for GST by customs for lego from lego.com?
  19. Got mine in NZ$, $299.00 plus the BTTF set for $53.99 NZD.
  20. Anyone know when and where the new Back to the future set, 21103 (cuusoo) is going to be available in NZ.
  21. the Warehouse has Lego City Dump truck 4434 for $23.97 (RRP 39.99) in the weekend. Don't know if it is still on today etc. just about 1/2 price.
  22. Mine is the 8872, Tractor unit with low loader trailer and forklift. (early 90's model)
  23. TLG tends to re-make old sets in updated versions. for example 8851 was the old and 8043 is now the new digger, there are many other examples out there that we are all aware of, and not just in Technic, city as well.. My suggestion is my favourite one of all Technic, the 8872 Tractor truck and trailer with a Forklift. The have sort of done a re-make but it was the B model for the 8251 Tow Truck. My ideal re-make would be with mini LA's, winch, and also adjustable ride height for the Trailer. So an updated old set would have better chances of been made than a new un tested model that has a limited compatibility with other sets.
  24. The Warehouse has another Lego deal on today. Red Alert http://www.thewareho...rt/legolegolego
  25. And how many are going to end up on trademe by the day is out.
