It would at that... Especially for really tall trains and buses. ;-P Actually, the row of windows with the roof over them are also used as a bus stop in the movie. You can see them near the end of the movie immediately after Emmet's mech runs out next to the monorail. If you look quickly, it's in the lower right corner of the frame. I thought about including it in this render, but couldn't quite figure out how to fit it all in.

Actor Builder--I just had a chance to see Condemned Building 2. It was a good action flick, but as you say it's not without its flaws... Overall, the movie kept my attention. It also manages to raise a lot of questions, which ultimately is what it set out to do--in order to set up Condemned Building 3 (coming soon to a theater near you...). (after Actor Builder’s post, I just couldn’t resist) :-P

Hi Crossbones--thanks for the comment. I haven't decided to post all of my models yet. The ones I have posted are all included in the first entry of this thread. If you have any questions about any part of my builds, I'll be happy to help out. Occasionally, I do post a model, like this one--here's my version of the LEGO Movie logo that I promised several weeks ago to post for folks on Christmas: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Xon67/Movie/_movie_logo_final_.lxf I built it to mimic what is on the movie poster as closely as I could. As a result, it has a few "floating" parts If anyone is interested, miahbrick33 posted his version of the movie logo here: http://bricksafe.com/files/MiahGee37/the-lego-movie/0001699%20MCS%20THE%20LEGO%20MOVIE.lxf His version looks like it will hold together in an actual physical build. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Thanks for the comments, everyone! krisandkris12--I don't track how much time I spend on these. As I've said previously, the build time doesn't take that much. I think I spend more time tracking down my references, getting screen grabs, and trying to figure out hard-to-see parts. While I try to build these to look as close to the versions on the screen that I can get, I do consider physical builds. For the most part, these should stand up on their own. There are a few exceptions where I purposely have "floating" bricks, because that's how they are on-screen. If they are based on existing sets, I kept all of the internal structure. The one exception to that might be the "Jumbo Green Grocer." There were a large number of collisions when I tried to fit everything together. So, I just started deleting bricks where I needed to. It looks good on the outside, but it's pretty much a mess on the inside. It might be interesting to go back and clean it up with actual internal floors and walls some day...

Scooby Doo - Knight Time Terror - Haunted Mansion
Thanks for the comments folks! Here's an update on the main part of the mansion. Some numbers: The main mansion is 134 studs wide. Add 40 studs for the greenhouse and the total width is 174 studs. So far, the mansion has around 5,000 bricks. Add approximately 1,600 for the greenhouse and we're at 6,600 bricks for the current total. More to come!

Here's another condemned building from Emmet's neighborhood. It sits on the edge of the construction site. At the beginning of the movie, it gets blown up with explosives and knocked down with a wrecking ball, yet it still manages to remain standing at the end of the movie when Emmet returns to Bricksburg from Finn's basement.

[LDD] Small house to test Bluerender
It's a great app, isn't it? If you're looking for additional features, check out blublible's post for a modified version. It can take longer to run, but gives more control over the results.

Scooby Doo - Knight Time Terror - Haunted Mansion
Here are two more pics showing details of the inside. lostdriveway--This is going to be a big build! I'll give you some stats when I have them to let you know what you're getting yourself into. :-) I've already noticed that there were some liberties taken with this show with regards to the builds. The neck of the plant monster uses an older LEGO ball joint, but it's scaled down to the size of the newer Mixels ball and socket so it would fit into a Mixels socket. So, I ended up using the parts that were used in the actual LEGO set for the neck. Also, the main mansion roof doesn't use the standard slope pieces--it has too steep of an angle. I will have to ad-lib something for this. More in the works!
