[/img]Here is an image of the Witch King Lego. Its a work in progress. I'm still trying to get some of the pieces to print. https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ OK, this is making me nuts. I'm using Safari and I just can't figure out how to get images to work. That little button above doesn't work nor to the suggested extensions.

Glad you guys like him! I'm busy assembling them now. The price that I need to charge is about $42.00 US. There was A LOT of custom work here, including 3D sculpting , multiple 3d prints ( to get sizing right) paint, extra lego parts, cutting and designing capes...etc. The price is steep but that just what I need to charge. Do you guys have any ideas where the best place to advertise them is? Right now I'm just on this forum and some Flickr groups. I'd give anyone here first dibs to buy of course.

OK, here is the final custom Sauron. I think I'm going with the Gun Metal color because someone I know from Weta sent me pics of the actual suit. I did silver first because I this I was using reference from the armor before it was oxidized and darkened down. Selling reeeeeeealllly soon. I promise. If the image does not show up ( I forget how to load them) visit the link below.

Glad you like him! Believe me, I have tried the darker grey, trying to match the darker pearl color of say, the Urak-Hai helmets. The problem is that I want this to be durable. The Vinyl dye I'm using on the ABS plastic ( the lego body and Brick Warriors greaves and vambraces) sinks right into the parts and resists scratches really well. Its pretty tough. It also penetrates the resin parts I created, though not as well, but is still pretty tough. I've tried every kind of paint and the Vinyl dye works best. The problem is that the product has a very limited color range. The grey is nearly black and the next step up in value is the silver. I've even tried mixing the two while wet but the results are patchy and hard to control. The silver matches the Lego flat silver color really well! Sauron's armor in the movie is actually silver-ish, but the film is color-graded so dark that it looks much darker. It does seem that for the battle images they may have dirtied him up a little. A google search on Sauron's Armor will show some examples. This link has a nice pic. http://newboards.theonering.net/forum/gforum/perl/gforum.cgi?post=205073; If you look through the rest of the images on my flickr page you'll see my attempts a darker armor. Thats before they got all scratched up! I suppose if anyone really wants darker armor and are not worried about playability too much they can grab a can of spray paint and do the job themselves rather quickly!

Glad you like him! Yes, I sculpted the helm, breastplate and mace in ZBrush. My kids are bugging me for a Witch King now! I think I'll be able to sell this guy in about 3 weeks. I'd love to see him grace your amazing MOCs!

My New Lego SAURON. Hey guys, I'm pretty new here. My kids asked me if there was a Lego Sauron, and they were pretty upset that there wasn't. So I made them one. The Helmet, armor and mace are 3D modeled, printed and cast in resin. I used a Toy Story Woody body to give him extra height, which I vinyl dyed silver. I'm still playing around with cape ideas and leg armor stuff, but when its all ready to go I will be able to sell these. As soon as I can I'll let you all know how to purchase the whole figure. [Software] LDD Manager
Hello all. I'm a total noob to this forum! Sadly, I'd like to use LDD Manager but I'm on a Mac. I'd love to export a parts list to load into the Bricklink wanted list. If I asked one of you kind people with a PC to export such a list for some of those cool Jon Hall planes could you do so? Thanks!

LDraw files of Jon Halls aircraft / render artwork “Great shot, Blon
Hello all. I'm a noob to this forum! I can't remember the name of the program ( something...Manager?) that allows LDD parts lists to be exported as a brick link friendly file that I can load into the wanted lists en masse. I am on a PC, not a Mac, so I can't use whatever that program is. If I asked one of you kind people with a PC to export such a list for some Jon Hall planes could you do so? Thanks!
