  1. 42174 Emirates Team New Zealand AC75 Wow, i'm amazed, i did not expect this to be so dull.
  2. The last flatbed truck was back when the unimog released no? About time for a new one.
  3. I don’t think it’s unusual for even (supercar 1:8) years, 2022’s flagship wasn’t a Control+ set either, only 2020’s was. I would expect 2025 to have 2 Control+ flagships though. I personally don’t like the up trend on the flagship price but i hope with the liebherr being a slow seller they’ll price the next one lower.
  4. Small news: 42182 (lunar rover) is 18+. 42174 is 18+. At ~930 pieces is also the smallest 18+ technic set, likely not pneumatic (could be 42175). No clue what it could be at this price range, maybe a space set too? Not just 42182 but also 42174 and 42177 being 18+ space sets sounds a bit optimistic.
  5. Honestly not much, in fact the only benefit i can imagine is being able to up the scale using much sturdier technic. It’s something fairly boring for technic but not unusual given the dozen or so car models released every year. I don’t think it is given the 18+ branding which is nowadays reserved for cars or flagships (with brand recognition). Technic has only done vehicles based on real things for 18+. Honestly why i am interested in 42177 is that this price and age rating is indicative of a control+ flagship, but given it’s a supercar flagship this year it’d be unusual if that was the case. The piece count if correct excludes all 1:10 scale cars out of the equation, so i think it might be a ~300€ non-RC non-supercar. It could also be an overpriced Tatra-like 6x6 trail truck, but considering the potential price of over 400€ after they struggled to get rid of the rest of their zetros stock in the last half year, i have doubts. A NASA branded set is an easy guess, it’s space year after all, why not go all out with a branded space flagship.
  6. I would as well, but i doubt they’ll make another big standalone shuttle when the icons one is still on shelves. I think there is a good chance it is ISS though, but the end result would be absolutely massive. Roughly 3 times the pieces so about 2.5x larger than the ideas one, surplus can go to a small cargo rocket build.
  7. Could 42177 be another NASA set? Something like a launch site sounds cool, but seems too much play focused for the age bracket. Or supersized ISS?
  8. Honestly there really isn't much you can do with just the rover for 250$, the lunar rover is a barebones platform with motor, wheels, seats and instruments. It's similar price-tag to 42114 makes me think it's a Control+ set, but i fail to see where exactly they could fit 2 motors, steering and a technic battery box without looking strongly out of place. Granted 42114 if released today would be 300$, so the rover would have to be a fair bit smaller, which it should be, because it's almost just a frame on wheels. Monster Jam.
  9. 42174 is close parts count to audi RC from last year so the dream for control+ MJ is potentially still alive.
  10. 42172 is the hypercar, 42177 is the flagship. For a bit of speculation, LEGO likes to release one pneumatics set and multiple RC sets a year. Given not all names or prices were revealed it’s difficult to pin-point which is the RC set and which is pneumatic. Likely candidates are 42174 and 42177. 42175 would be really expensive and undesirable if it had either as it’s already a double pack. My guesses are: 42174 pneumatic, 42177 RC. 42174 RC, 42177 motorised (dumb box) pneumatic. I however don’t think 42177 is RC as it would cannibalise the liebherr’s already small market.
  11. It is. 42177 seems intriguing but that piece count and 18+ tag seem to point at another super expensive controi+ set. Also the piece count of 42182 suggests the set is quite beefy for a control+ set, at least for current pricing.
