I would like to thank everyone for their complements, even the compliments for my "pokemon" dragon . I have made seperate pictures of the dragon, these can be found on my MOCpages. Building the arch was a great challenge, because it's not round but shaped in a point (which is exactly 90 degrees). I'd like to share my building techniques with you, so here's a WIP picture of the arch building: And I've also another WIP picture of how to implement the container boxes in a wall: Let me know if you like the pictures of these building techniques .

Really, really good MOC Cara! I love the way you made the wings of the dragon. Building my dragon I found out how difficult it is to build nicely shaped wings, so well done

Whoever recovers the elemental air crystal will become a well known hero in Mitgardia. Form left to right: Maxley – Jack of blades – Sir Whisper – Sir Walter Beck – Ben Finn Sir Whisper meets Maze the sorcerer in his shack near the lake. Sir Whisper: Maze, do you know where we can find the air crystal? Maze: I must have an old map which will lead you to the air crystal. Sir Whisper: That would be great! Maze: This old scroll says the air crystal belonged to King Bernard IV. He was buried in the cathedral of Gorradil two centuries ago. Sir Whisper: Nowadays known as the ruin of Gorradil… Maze: That’s correct. But listen very carefully… everyone who tried to find the air crystal didn’t return. Legend says that the air crystal is protected by a guardian which can only be defeated by a strong sorcerer. Sir Whisper: Why don’t you join me and my crew, and together we will recover the air crystal. Maze: I have to disappoint you, I’m too old for these adventures. Sir Whisper: Well then, I’ll find my crew and go to the ruin of Gorradil. Maze: Good luck! After a long journey trough the mountains and over frozen lakes they finally reached the ruin of Gorradil. Sir Whisper: Men, listen carefully. It’s our goal to recover the air crystal from this ruin. But we should be careful and watch out for the guardian. Maxley: I found a staircase. Sir Whisper: It looks like there is a basement. Let’s see what’s downstairs. As they walk downstairs, someone is watching them from a distance… Sir Whisper: It looks like the tomb of King Bernard IV. The air crystal is probably inside the tomb. Maxley: Let’s open it. The men open the tomb, but suddenly all the skeletons come alive. An intense fight follows. Meanwhile outside in the lake. Sir Whisper and his crew defeat the skeletons and return to the ruin floor. Sir Whisper: Maze, what are you doing here? Maze: I found more clues about the guardian. Maxley: Don’t worry, we defeated all skeletons. Maze: The guardian is not a skeleton, it’s a…. Oh no! Get down, hide yourself. Everyone hides himself. But Maze takes his magical scepter and takes it up against the dragon. After an intensive battle Maze defeats the dragon. Then everyone returns safely back to Valholl where they are welcomed as heroes! More pictures:
  7. Yesterday I finally received the last missing parts to complete the third challenge. Tomorrow I'll post the story and pictures
  8. Honestly, I've made a bad picture so not all details are visible. I will save that for the final pictures. In contrast to some of you, I think I'll only build one scene. The picture is from last sunday, at this moment the ruin is almost finished. I still need to build the floor inside the treasure room and I'll have to build the guardian. @ Soccerkid6: The build measures 2 x 2,5 base plate
  9. Our guild starts looking like Nocturnus with all the drow pictures at least the pictures looks great Angeli! Anyway, here is a work in progress picture of my build for the third quest, 'The ruin of Gorradil'.

  11. Hello I'm from Mitgardia. I'm an active builder. I participated after round one and joined the second quest. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to make some free builds but I am busy on building a large landscape/ruin for the third quest. I like a lot of the things going on right now. For example I like the task(s) in every new challenge. I also like to see the MOC's of other people so they can help improve my own buildingtechnics. The challenges are great, although there are some very highly skilled builders around here, so sometimes it seems new members don't stand a change. A few small things to improve: First I agree with Ecclesiastes of some sort of scoreboard. I think it would be nice to see how good (or bad) you scored with a MOC, and what your contribution is to a guild. If I may make a suggestion, we already have the "Historica building index" why not put the scores behind the link to the building? Personally I find the time short between the (micro) challenges. For example, I participated in the Valholl micro challenge but it was in the same period that quest 3 started, so I wanted to join both challenges but now I'm afraid I'll get in time problems with challenge 3 This also resolves in to less time for free builds. I really hope GoH will continue after the summer. Although I'm also looking forward to the LOTR Lego. So on the question of the idea of GoH should be applied on another theme, maybe LOTR. But for now I spend all building time on GoH!
  12. Gorgeous! I like it
  13. Very good job! I also like the roof.
  14. I didn't know free builds were also judged. Until now I kept my ideas for the quests. Next few weeks I'll be busy building for the third quest, but I'll also try to make time for a free build.
