Good luck with next year's organising Ras. Some of the online reviews for Windsor Legoland are awful (see tripadvisor for example) with long queues seemingly the order of the day. At a park where rides for the over 10s are at a premium they've even taken out the jungle coaster to make way for another attraction ... accommodation!!!! If the park is half as lousy at it sounds then the other activities will need to make up for the lack of things to do. I've never been to Windsor so maybe the park isn't as bad as the reviews make out. I'll be in Legoland USA sometime next June so if you want to hold the event there .....

Most Annoying and Best Adverts in your Country?
Here in Ireland the new Hunky Dory crisp advertisement campaign is causing a bit of a stir as some people have accused the crisp maker of being sexist http://hunkydorys.rubylithcms.com/ For press coverage see here http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/irelan...4269221337.html Personally, I don't see the problem myself Maybe I'm not looking hard enough

This explains why my sat-nav sent me through Hamburg city streets! And here I was bad-mouthing it .. stupid machine!!! A 30 minute detour (all moving) doesn't seem too bad now. I arrived home at 2.00am this morning having spent Monday night in France. I had time to stop into Bluewater Lego store on the way back for some PAB - its just off the M25 so ideal for anyone travelling around outskirts of London. Not sure if its on the route to Windsor from channel ports. I saw signs for Heathrow so its possible - 2011 eventees take note assuming we're at Windsor next year. Thanks to all eventees, organisers and Lego for a great weekend. David

All important information about
I'd looked at some of the longer crossings but cars are much faster than ships so the less time spent on water the better. The Harwich crossing seems to be 18hours. I've now booked a crossing from Dover to Dunkirk with Norfolkline as the P&O site is down and I suspect ex-Ryanair passengers are swamping the site. It appears that many airlines are seeking to fly early next week even if there is some ash in the air as they believe its safe, but not Ryanair. The ferry arrives in Dunkirk at about 1pm CET so I reckon it will be between 11.00 and 12.00 before I arrive in Billund [organisers please take note of the late arrival]. I may need a wake up call for the Thursday events! At least i don't need to worry about space, either going over or coming back.

All important information about
All Ryanair flights in Northern Europe including to Denmark, have been cancelled up to 13.00 Wednesday! I've booked a ferry to the UK from Ireland and will also book one from Dover to Calais. From there its a scenic drive on European motorways to Billund!

All important information about
I'm already on my second bunch of flights after Ryanair cancelled the direct route from Dublin to Billund months ago and I rebooked to fly through Scotland. Now I'm exploring ferry options as I don't see the position improving before Wednesday morning when I'm due to fly out. Some airlines have cancelled flights until Tuesday so time is running out. Unfortunately until I'm told the flights are cancelled its a bit risky to be booking ferries that may not be refundable. UK Channel crossings are reasonable but Irish sea crossings are expensive. The alternative to flights seems to be Dublin - Holyhead (Wales) - 3.5hrs Holyhead to Dover (England) - 6.5 hrs (assuming non-stop) Dover - Calais (France) - 1.5hr Calais - Billund - 9.5hrs (but extra time needed for breaks) It might be possible if I can get a ferry Tuesday night and travel through the night. Return would have to start on Sunday rather than Monday. The only advantage is that luggage would be unlimited so no need to pay for extra bags There are people attending who are travelling from further away. Hopefully they already reached the European continent before the volcano ash. Planning on David

Icelandic Volcano Eruption.
Well if things don't improve soon I can see Ryanair cancelling my Wednesday flights to Billund for the Eurobricks event. I'm already planning the drive from Dublin to Billund!!!

Icelandic Volcano Eruption.
There's always the old fashioned way - the ferry! I remember the days when the flights were so expensive that the 11 hour ferry crossing to Liverpool or the less tedious Holyhead trip was standard practice for the football teams on weekends away to Liverpool and Blackpool (the latter with multiple train connections). The boats are much faster these days although I expect everyone's had the same idea.

Icelandic Volcano Eruption.
I don't like the idea of a stagnant cloud of ash. It had better be clear by next Wednesday when a certain event takes place in Billund! I've had my flights cancelled once already.

Billund '10 trading post
I've now picked this up. It was reported on www.brick.ie that Tesco are selling 7595 sets for €8 and the Buzz and Woody to the Rescue set for €14. I may be able to pick these up in the next day or so but availability might be an issue. I'll be giving priority to those who've already asked for some 7595 sets and might want a few more.

Star Wars sets anyone?
There's been a large reduction in LS@H prices for Ireland on some exclusive star wars sets today (and this is not an April fool's joke) The UCS Millenium Falcon is down from €659 to €424, the Death Star is now €349, the drop-ship is now €209 and the Tant IV dropped to €119 from €179. About time as Irish customers were sorting product from UK where prices for these sets were (and still are) lower. Some re-adjustment of other exclusives (up and down), e.g. Fire Brigade Modular down to €125 but Grand emporium up from €149 to €174.

I can still pick up a few of the army sets for €11.99 a few cent more expensive than TRU with 20% off but at least they should be available. Sometimes 20% off can be too good to be TRU

Star Wars sets anyone?
Its a bit strange to be posting re US availability from Ireland but if anyone near San Jose California is looking for the Target Easter mini star wars sets my aunt yesterday picked up a few 30050 sets brought out of a store room at the Sunnyvale Target (upon request). They weren't on the shop floor. As others have commented these sets are generally not in the Lego section but hidden amongst a truckload of Duplo - she had to scrummage a bit to find a few remaining 30051 sets at Target Westgate.

EB Event Extras!
I haven't sent any bricks to Matija because I didn't think I had to as I went for the '2 brick' option for both of us and both of us appeared on your list. so I assumed everything was ok. If there aren't enough special bricks available for Alan can one be made in any colour or are you saying he can't have an event badge?

info on lego shop in Munich
The Munich Lego Store is in Reim Arcaden shopping mall (an ex-airport which if I recall correctly was the same airport from which in 1958 the Manchester Utd football team crashed on take-off). I find it unusual that the control tower is still there just across from the subway station outside the mall. Its possible to take the U2 tube into the centre of Munich and visit some of the department stores. When I visited in November last the main stores had good Lego selections if you can't make it to Legoland. If you are in Reim Arcaden I'd also check out the Mueller store at the end of the mall as that store carries a good selection of sets (competitively priced).

EB Event Extras!
I've last year's name badge so the top two bricks will be okay for me too. Alan got a badge last year so if its possible to get an event brick for him also that would be great. As for extras I'll have anything that's going.

No problem. I should be able to pick these up on the way home from work this evening assuming the shop's online reservation system works properly.
