  1. LegoCube replied to HaGLa's post in a topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like it. The ship seemed a little small in the official build. Nice mod!
  2. I don't usually pay much attention on the age limits, but I searched my collection and the Ferrari seems to have a 14+ age limit: https://brickset.com/sets/10248-1/Ferrari-F40 Also, deeping little deeper, there seems to be at least one other Creator Expert set that has 14+ age limit: https://brickset.com/sets/10233-1/Horizon-Express Would be nice if there was own category for these. But even more I would like a categories based on set style: Modular buildings, Large Car (like Racers series) sets, etc. Creator series seems to be very broad these days.
  3. for me it was 10th result. First pdf. Now I can stop speculating :D
  4. I am still new and casual AFOL, so I actually do not have specific use for this. But it does look interesting: https://brickset.com/parts/6199908/plate-1x3-w-2-knobs I am hoping this part will appear in another set, because I do not need the bright yellowish green color in my limited collection, right now. edit: sorry for double post :(
  5. I like to speculate and read technic/creator/advanced rumors... I happened to stumble on this comment from designer comments from a recent car set "My favorite set to date next to 31078...", from designer who has about 50% history of designing car modes, the chances (50%?) are that 31078 is another car. And I am happy if that is the case. I do realise that designers do switch focus or design something completely different from the past.
  6. As this topic is now getting bumped, I was wondering if anyone else has been thinking of a S2K mod from the Porsche set? I have kind of given up trying to build a moc from scratch but still am thinking of building a S2K worthy of display someday... Modding an existing model would be a way to do that. The headlights (without the round parts) to me look perfect already. picture_php_pictureid_219028_b50578a9d2046ef84fc6015e1b664ccc1129bc03.jpg
  7. Auction ended, no bids :( If interested send me a message. I will sell individual sets and pieces before next try to sell all. Thanks for people already showing interest!
  8. List of all my full sets on Brickset: http://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-LegoCube In addition there are roughly 150-200 euros worth of bricks from Bricks & Pieces and BrickLink. Including missing parts to build Petebilt: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/Fanylover/peterbilt-379 as well as 4 Tumbler wheels. Also lots of red panels I was planning to use on my RC MOC supercar :) edit: List of Bricks&Pieces / BrickLink http://4.1m.yt/7OtuE0e.pnghttp://4.1m.yt/rJVuE8b.pnghttp://4.1m.yt/NlIfC2J.png
  9. Unfortunately I have to stop my Lego hobby because real life issues. Here is a list of all my sets and bricks. If you are in Finland, please place an order. If I am not succesful I can sell also within EU if someone interested. Reply or PM for more information or pictures. http://www.huuto.net/kohteet/paljon-uuden-veroisia-legoja/436181282
  10. Ah indeed. I guess I should take time and actually build that Porsche model some time. Nice to have it in blue still. Thanks for answers!
  11. Is that arched part on the sides close to the front of the Ocean Explorer new brick or an old one? Looks great for giving a car some shape. Other interesting part is the white part with the side windows
  12. Huge fan of Mike Psiaki since I got the 10248 Ferrari F40. Not that huge fan of how the hood of the beetle looks like. It could be more rounded like it is at the boot in the back but if this is half as fun to build as the F40 and the 31039 Blue Power Jet it is a must buy for me edit: Huge plus for the stickers not being mandatory for a great looking build
  13. Great, thanks! Can I use one of them for my avatar picture? :D
  14. @Jim, probably the package handling on airline. The way the treat boxes is brutal sometimes. Entertaining view waiting for the plane sometimes.
  15. Thanks! Yea, it fits a minifig racer :D The interior is straight from the original set. I have only messed with the lights :) Here is a quick version after the feedback. Some adjustments needed but certainly looks more like the modern Mustang with these changes For the rear, I chose to exaggerate the taillights. It looked weird to my eye if the taillight were any narrower. Also, would be interesting to fit lights into this. Might try that some time after the actual roadtrip In my opinion it looks better than the original set http://brickset.com/sets/75871-1/Ford-Mustang-GT
  16. Thank you very much for all that info Ron! I think I got all what you explained. Except for "side snot" :D Some great Mustangs there already, I saw a 2014 Mustang there with similar headlights than mine but trying both setups. Thanks for the help and support!
  17. Thanks for comments. I agree about the front. Just did not have the angled part with stud on the side so had to go with 1 stud technic brick for the headlights. About tail lights also, I'd love to get that triple thing going but it seemed hard to get right in this scale...
  18. I am going on a road trip soon and hopefully will get a Mustang from the car rental. So I happened to walk past this set and just had to buy it in anticipation of the trip :D So, I never use stickers. Hate them. So I thought I try to mod this car stickerless, which seemed doable. It is a minor mod, but I am kinda new and I feel kinda proud I could finish what I had in mind. I thought I'd share. Thanks for reading! http://u.cubeupload....t20160511at.png http://u.cubeupload....t20160511at.png It was an one afternoon thing and I did not have all my bricks at hand but, I am pretty happy with the results :) edit: reserved for possible changes. Would love to make it stud or two wider... edit: resized images
  19. Close to perfect. Might be wishful thinking though. I really hope the front wheels have a nice turning angle and pivot point rather than some compromise to fit them in the wheel arches...
  20. First time I have seen Lego burning rubber! Funny and Amazing :D
  21. Get well soon. Looking forward to the next build! From long time lurker :)
  22. Actually I was thinking the same. I don't have any orange parts yet, so was browsing sets to possibly buy for modding... I am pretty sure it is the same, but hoping someone can confirm.
  23. Has this been posted already? http://shop.lego.com/en-FI/Porsche-911-GT3-RS-42056
  24. The price seems bit steep, considering it is about 1/3 of what I have spent on Lego sets so far. Including bricks & pieces and bricklink. Cars have always been the thing for me. I have walked away from some nice 50% off deals on construction sets. It is not the price by brick that counts for me. So this set is a must buy and possibly the last set I will buy for a long time. Would be fun to build the BMW race car from another Technic thread and have them on display side by side :)
