  1. I would make me sad too. Side note: I wish they'd release it in a neutral color, like white or light bluish gray... or both!

Patience - we won't get any pictures for a long while yet. LEGO has really been cracking down on leaks, so don't expect anything picture-wise until they are revealed, and even if they did leak things change from pre-production to being on shelves so take everything you see or read with a mountain of salt. Also, some sets never get released even if they leak. (Temple of Doom got cancelled by Disney when we had a picture, for example)
  3. I see you've taken my whole post and looked at one sentence only. What I said about the LEGO colors / themes still stands... no matter what possibly misused words I used top convey the concept.
  4. I just went and found my two cameras from the Renegade - one was fine, one had the extra lump.
  5. Ok, another neat part is being added to my Bricklink want list. Nice MOC @The Reader, I always love your classic-yet-updated builds! (Adventurers FTW!)
  6. Prepare yourself for a massively unpopular opinion about LEGO colors: Dark Blue has been around in bricks since 1961, Medium Blue since 1949, and Maersk Blue from 1954 up to 2011, as well as the VERY rare Light blue starting in 1949 and running up until 2007, which is also when regular blue came out (1949). So new colors - such as the forementioned blues - are not a new, modern thing. LEGO experiments with new colors and parts to keep fresh, as they always have done and will continue to do. If they didn't do this, or do away with licensed themes, they would have been bought by Mattel long ago, like they almost were in 2001 / 2002. This revisionist rose-tinted glasses thing about the 1970s, 80s, and early 90s being better, with less colors and less themes is total fantasy. (sorry, but it's true!) For some theme examples: LEGO was working on Vikings in 1978 but decided to go with Castle instead. Western would have come out in the 1980s, but Pirates performed slightly better in focus groups, and they only had production capacity for one new theme - and Pirates was pushed back like three years anyway for the lack of factory space / money to expand. (All this is written in the book 'The secret life of LEGO minifigures', among many other tidbits that will blow your mind.)
  7. Tagging @Jim as it appears to be a weird site issue of some sort...
  8. Update! This space train station (named 'Base Terminus') is to be used with my retro-futuristic Blacktron passenger train to get staff and VIP's to and from the space base. (Some printed parts not in the picture, but they will be when it's built in real life.) Thoughts?
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks and Train Tech @Aleksi Perala! From what I can see of your models they are amazing! Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see more detailed pictures of what you've made!
  10. Thanks @Feuer Zug! Thank you @JesseNight. RE: future MOC's: only time will tell if more are made... (In all seriousness, I'm out of models I want to make / vehicles that are easily recognizable) Thanks @Yperio_Bricks, and I agree about the inventor being a good match for the machine! (You need to find and watch the 1960 film, as it's good! The 2002 one is less so...)
  11. This MOC of author H.G. Wells' time-traveling vehicle from the novel 'The Time Machine' (specifically this MOC is inspired by the excellent 1960 movie version) was designed by user D3ner over on Rebrickable. You can see those free instructions here, though it requires major modifications to be buildable in real life. My brother re-built that MOC digitally in Studio and edited it for me to make it more stable and look better. This model completes my Time Machine collection* and has technically been built since mid-December, but wasn't completed until today when my brother found me an Steampunk Inventor fig from CMF series 27 at Walmart. (Thanks bro!) The Inventor fig fits perfectly with the time machine, and his hat just barely fits over the top of the seat, almost like they were made for each other. *My five time machines include: Bill & Ted's Phonebooth The TARDIS BTTF Time Train BTTF DeLorean H.G. Wells' Time Machine Thoughts? (Also, @Peppermint_M, if you think this belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it where you see fit. I honestly wasn't sure where to put this MOC.)
  12. Try searching the legs, modified category for "boots" or click here for the category search term, @hikouki. Also, here is the part you're looking for. It's a stupid taxonomy, and the search is usually worthless, but that's par for the course for Bricklink sometimes...

I second this notion. Slow and steady wins the race, as they say.
  14. I've actually got a 1955 Aerotrain built and it doesn't need the rear axle to move like that when pushing by hand, but it does need wider radius 9v curves (which nobody I know owns) in order to be powered and work without overheating @bogieman. See here for a quick video from 2018 when i borrowed some track and motor from my father's collection to test it. (NOTE: I am missing two car in that video, as the motor couldn't handle all five cars.) Also, the one in St. Louis was just refurbished during the pandemic... but they did weld a bar to the lead truck's so kids could ring a bell. (Don't get me started on that! )

Sounds shady to me, and I get a bad vibe. I wouldn't trust it, personally...
  16. Meh. As I said on Brickset: I don't need another Blacktron commander.... my own version using legs and torso from the Galactic Bounty Hunter CMF work well enough.
  17. @Mister Phes I think the September 27th bit in your post is wrong...
  18. You are correct about the straight windows being doors @Sebeus I. Thanks for the compliment too!
  19. Yay! Another Nuclear loco! That's three after @Electricsteam 's one and my own. Love the humor in the above post too, and the fuzzy picture of the reactor is the icing on the yellow cake (Uranium)! This MOC is positively glowing with positive vibes, and why not? It's an awesome model, and has totally blown me away. Keep up the good work @FlammerFime! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to SCRAM.
  20. This Blacktron 1 colored passenger train is modeled after the General Motors Aerotrain concept of 1955. I modified the engine to have two bogies (one of which can be replaced with a 9V motor to power the train) instead of the one bogie and one fixed axle of the original. The passenger cars were lengthened from 16 to 24 studs and Jacob's bogies placed in two spots to lessen the part count. (Yes, it bears more than a passing resemblance to a certain other space train of mine... let's just say some espionage was involved concerning the CS design plans for that train!) The train will be used on my Blacktron space base, shuttling VIP's around on tours of my base. Alternatively, it could be used to get personnel to / from the base and the off-site living quarters. (you can read more about my Blacktron fleet in it's own thread in the Sci-Fi forum.) The windows in the train were difficult to get right, but I managed to attach them. Inverted trans-yellow 2x2 slopes that would make this way easier are coming in a set releasing in March, but I'm not waiting that long! (The tail car is currently missing a few parts for the roof.) The cab roof is removable and a driver can be placed at the controls, but the coaches are totally impossible to get into due to the construction techniques used. (Also, two control panel double-cheese slopes, two 1x1 number tiles, and two radiator donut tiles are missing from the model, among a few other parts.) As for when this will be built in the real world, it will be soon. The last few parts for the train were ordered 1/14/25. Update 1/15/25! This space train station (named 'Base Terminus') is to be used with my retro-futuristic Blacktron passenger train to get staff and VIP's to and from the space base. (Some printed parts are not in the picture, but they will be when it's built in real life.) Thoughts?
  21. Thanks! I'm working on a Blacktron space train at the moment, and have a backlog of real-world pictures to take, so stay tuned for more @Feuer Zug!
  22. SHHH! Don't say that! LEGO designers read these boards you know!
