  1. @icm The sets actually is $100 USD, as seen on LEGO's website.
  2. @Huw Millington on Brickset has already built a cargo pod, just so you know. Sadly, these are the only two pictures, and there is no parts file or instructions for it @Classic_Spaceman!
  3. Well, that was fast! An adapter module MOC for the Cruiser GWP (50480) to be compatible with the new Renegade (10355) has emerged on Rebrickable by user Brickstertwo as of today, December 22nd. I built a copy on LDD and ordered it (along with the cockpit for the Cruiser) from Bricklink as of ten minutes ago, and plan on using it with my Renegade copy once I get it next week / whenever the BL parts show up. I would post pictures of my digital version of this MOD of this MOC, but so many parts are missing in LDD it's just not worth it.
  4. Not likely @Baldios. It seems to be on borrowed time to be honest, and Brickshelf will an even greater loss than MOCpages (R.I.P.) when it goes. Over twenty years worth of AFOL history is on that site.
  5. "My name's Mater. Like Tamater, but without the Ta." This is a perfect model, there is nothing you could do to improve it. Good luck in the contest!
  6. Murdoch17 replied to SNIPE's post in a topic in General LEGO Discussion
@SNIPE Tiles with groove have been around since 1972, so it's not a new thing. Tiles without groove are nigh on impossible to remove, and brick separators will be useless with them. Just because you think something is a good idea, doesn't mean it is... LEGO geometry works the way it does for good reasons. Making something slightly out of geometry throws EVERYTHING else off.
  7. Thanks @TeddytheSpoon! It's 109 parts, not counting Marvin or his flag. I have an LDD file of the vessel by itself if you want it.
  8. Thanks @icm! I felt I needed to use those UFO parts to make this UFO... its just makes sense. Thank you, and agreed @Renny The Spaceman! Thanks! That's actually the official LEGO Marvin the Martian figure from the Looney Tunes CMF from 2021. As for the ray gun, there was no room for it, as was the case with the flag @GeoBrick. Thank you @danth! It was a sudden stroke of inspiration that led to those design features.
  9. Here we see a typical flying saucer of Martian origin, landed on the surface of some place called Roswell, New Mexico. It seems the ship's pilot, Marvin, has something to say to us: "I claim this planet in the name of Mars! Isn't that lovely?" The rear of the UFO... but since I've identified it as Martian flying saucer, doesn't that make it an IFO? (Identified Flying Object) The vessel stands Marvin at the controls quite comfortably, with sadly no room to spare for the Martian flag. Looks like you're going to have to leave it behind, Marvin! The underside of the vessel, with the landing struts and some sort of engine nozzles visible. Thoughts, comments, questions, and so on appreciated!
  10. For those who might not be aware, we have a spoiler feature on EB under the eye on the task bar when you make a post. It looks like this example: Please use it this nifty feature, as the rest of us would REALLY appreciate it!
  11. I will believe it when I see it on store shelves. As @Robert8 said, the source material can be very adult. Even if the Netflix adaptation is made differently / adapted, it still will be tainted by association with the original works in my opinion.
  12. @Vilhelm22 @Shiva @Toxic43 @ILoveSeatron - If I tagged you, you commented before. Here's an major update on this project: The remaining 385 parts required to finish the Haunted Train were ordered today, 12/20/24. (I got all of the needed wheels and most of the magnets cheap from a Lego resale shop in a trade.) I just hope these 385 parts arrive by Jan 2nd, so I can get them ready to go into the next Gateway LUG show on January 4th!
  13. My brother's standard Oct. 8th order shipped yesterday. At this rate, I'll see my Nov. 28th order in February or later.... oh well, it will makes a nice Valentines Day gift for myself.
  14. Seconded. It's quite ridiculous to think just because two people came up with the same thing independent of each other, that there must be some sort of nefarious conspiracy by LEGO to plant fake AFOLs on fan websites. (as that's how it reads when people say such silly things) ANYWAY: I actually agree with @Lyichir - it does make the canopy look glowing. I will be getting my copy on Day 1 at store opening, no matter what anyone says about it. I wasn't even alive in the 1980s, so I shouldn't have any nostalgia for this - but I do. (same with Classic Space, in all honesty) My first Space theme I remember that wasn't Star Wars was Mars Mission, which I disliked. I thought the way older classic stuff was cooler but could never afford it as a child / teen. Benny's SSS showed me the path of neo-classic space, and I'll bet (and hope!) this does the same for Blacktron 1 for today's kids. (It's is the same price point as that 2014 SPACESHIP!, after all!) I can't wait to pit them against each other in a battle...
  15. That's what the search function is for... sifting through threads so you don't have too!
  16. a good mix of both photographs and background info, with a side of a slight connecting story.
  17. I have been summoned! Here you go @Swordy, and anyone else who likes Blacktron.
  18. Try 'The secret Life of LEGO Minifigures', (a non-exclusive edition is coming, I think) for all kinds of interesting tidbits, and 'LEGO space 1978 - 1992' if you want to see how that came about.
  19. Yes. Midnight, Jan1 is when it will release for insiders. Be warned: the website will probably crash due to all the releases that night, as it usually does on Jan 1 - so you may not get it!
  20. I don't think it will be up for preorder. I'm going to the LEGO store at basically the crack of dawn on Jan 1 to secure my place in line and get my copy!
  21. I will be buying this, Day 1. (Now I just have to change all my Blacktron spaceship MOC's engine thrust to trans-red!)
  22. @FullBrickDev @Feuer Zug The model is done in real life! (I've tagged you two because you commented before) See the first post for more details / pictures, including a NEW car!
  23. Shhhh! Don't mention that word - LEGO reads these boards! It's like tempting fate!
  24. You do know Lego reads these boards, right? Don't give them any ideas!
