  1. The whole song is highly questionable. The lady wants to leave and get away from him, but he's not really letting her leave and most likely has spiked her drink. So yeah, it's a horrible, awful song.
  2. Yes it was bad - worse than what you're going through. (I have entire models I can't disassemble for fear of them turning to dust) It was so bad, I still try to avoid buying affected colors from Bricklink unless the parts aren't available from Pick A Brick. ...It's just too much of a risk that they're old and will shatter. I have no idea about the circle bit. It's possible it was molded incorrectly / a bad batch, but who knows when it was made? It could be new old stock from affected era, or a newer one-off bad batch. We will never know for sure!
  3. @Freak_NL If those are dark brown (which they appear to be), then it's Lego and was a known issue. They had a period from ~2010 to ~2019 where almost every reddish brown, dark brown, and dark red part had a very good chance of shattering while being used. Some other colors were affected, but less so. it was due to a plastic problem from the ABS manufacturer that was exasperated by LEGO storing the pellets in a unheated / uncooled silo in a warehouse. They fixed this issue no later than 2019. If these are black, then it might have been an older bad batch. I've had plenty of the printed black 1x1s with letters from around 2011 break on me, which may be related to the issue above... I don't know for sure about that of course - it's just a theory.

Since LEGO appears to be doing a 180 and going back to the metal axles VS. the plastic ones used in the 2022 sets, I think it's possible that new trains may come in 2025. Maybe people aren't buying the plastic-axles trains, and it's hurting the LEGO bottom line? I don't have any clue if that's what's truly happening, but it wouldn't surprise me. The fact remains plastic axles are horrendous and they brought back the metal ones three or so years after saying they were totally done with them.
  5. Grim, Billy and Mandy, Dexter and Deedee, Courage, Muriel and Eustace, Ed, Edd, & Eddy, the main five KND, Regular Show's crew, and the Foster Home for Imaginary Friends' gang would all be dreams come true in sets of a CMF or two. After all, we got the Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time in several sets / Dimensions, what about some of their contemporary shows from those eras? (Speaking of AT, we were really done dirty by not getting the whole main cast as minifigs...) Heck even Uncle Grandpa's RV might sell. I'd buy it, just for the zaniness / strange cast of characters!
  6. If they do a minifig version of that, they better give us 99 of the puppies and two adults. It's the only proper way to do it!
  7. @Yoggington it makes a good starter kit for an overpass!
  8. Welcome to Train Tech @ILoveSeatron!
  9. ...and neither is Home Alone or it's sequels!
  10. No @Dudeface167, there is no way to get rid of ads short of some form adblocker. (although then EB doesn't make any money, and if everyone did it the site would get shut down for lack of hosting funds) However, some ads can be manually removed by admins like @Jim . In my opinion, the scrolling ads are the absolute worst - no matter what site!
  11. I don't know why, but I have a strange urge to take two copies of the go-cart ramp set and make an overpass to go over train tracks.
  12. What is this 'optimism' of which you speak?
  13. He can't be serious... he must be trolling us. (at least I hope so!) Where is @Clone OPatra to do something about this?
  14. No matter what you say, yes - they are. So are the sequels. (much to my chagrin) Also, even if you remove the prequel bits, it's still not looking good for Sheev being on the nice list....
  15. I feel as if you completely missed the point of Sheev Palpatine and Star Wars. Sheev engineers a conflict from the ground up to get himself into ultimate power via a war in which he controls everything. He emotionally manipulates Anakin into doing what he KNOWS is wrong and by extension, gets him to the point when Anakin's own wife, Padme, tries to stop him, he kills the one person Skywalker was trying to save. Palpatine also sweeps away the Old Republic with a dictatorship, eventually dissolving the Senate in ANH. He tortures people (such as Luke) when they don't join him, motions Anakin to kill Dooku (who is too blindsided by the betrayal to reveal Sidious to the two heroes) and gives the go ahead to build two literal planet killers - the Death Stars I and II. Sheev also massacres an entire religious order of tens of thousands down to the handful who slip through his grasp... even children are not spared by his own order to Anakin of "Show no mercy". He also wanted to take over his own granddaughters body to keep his spirit from dying! Sheev isn't calm, he' manipulative. He's not fearless, he's afraid of loosing his immense power. Respectful is not even in the Emperor's vocabulary. He is EVIL, pure and simple!
  16. I like the 2019 Knight Bus more than the 2025 version.
  17. It's supposed to be this thread, as this is the ongoing topic about upcoming space sets.
  18. That was in the books, though. He never died in the films, which is what the sets are based on.
  19. I think Hedwig is one of the first characters included in their own death scene. (the Battle of 7 Potters) The only other examples I can think of along with Hedwig would be the 2011 Forbidden Forest set with Harry, but he didn't perma-die, so it doesn't count, but the Battle of Hogwarts from 2023 with Voldemort / Nagini / Bellatrix does.
  20. ...and here I thought it was shaped like a pear.
  21. The History Channel died in 2006 when Pawn Stars and it's ilk started being aired... It used to be about HISTORY not fake bull like "Ancient Aliens", "Legend of Skinwalker Ranch", or "Curse of Oak Island". (If they ever found anything major on Oak Island, we would hear about it on international news long before it aired on the History Channel.) Give me Wild West Tech, (classic) Modern Marvels or Histories Mysteries any day! Anyway, back on topic. I hope the Asylum looks good.
  22. Whatever image you're trying to show, it's not coming though properly @RedHoodPug... All I see is a link.
  23. ..but we aren't talking about that though. The closest we get to that, is rise of Nazi Germany / Hitler and the rise of the U.S.S.R. / Stalin. Nazi Germany fell in 1945 with Hitler, and the U.S.S.R. dissolved in 1991, while Stalin died in the mid-'50s.
  24. WW1 ended over 106 years ago.... anyone who fought in it, led it, and was hurt by it directly are long dead... so I think it's safe to talk about at this point. (Unless you are talking about the repercussions of this war, which are still being felt to this day, or course.) Heck, we even have LEGO sets vehicles from this war!
