Thx for the replies ! After hours of thinking, checking baggies, checking ALL pages of the instruction manual, I found out that I used the wrong rod on page 166. I used a 9 instead of a 7. I should have been seeing that during the build. This mistake made me worry and I lost hours ... this should be a lesson : check your build with the instruction manual. Sorry guys, sorry Lego !

Hi 42043 lovers, In 2015 I started the build. I made the sections from the bags 1 + 2 + 6. Today I wanted to continue. So I opened all the bags numbered 3 and kept them all together in 1 large box. After one and half hour ... missing this 9 rod from page 180. I checked my left over parts of bags 1 + 2 + 6, and checked the unopened bags 4 and 5. Can’t find the rod, not even in another colour. Any suggestions ? Did I do something wrong ?

9 hours ? It took me 7 hours for step 1. The only excuse I have : first time ever I build Technic. BTW, what a wonderful cat !

As a novice, it took me 7 hours to build the first part (with the bags labelled "1") Should I worry about ... Left over ... And I was lacking 1x So I took one piece from bag no. 5 Can I continue assembling? Or any suggestion ?

Just grabbed it ! Thx! Just regstered here. As a child, I had little toys, and little Lego. I made houses with nice blue roofs, and trucks. But I was lacking wheels to build my dream. Never had Technic. About 15 years ago, I went to a toy shop to buy something for my daughter. I see the Lego set 4100, and could not resist. But I was lacking wheels for my project. So I bought another 4100. But till today ... unopened. 3 weeks ago, by coincidence I see some news about Lego and the 42043. I told myself : I want this. Every day since, I try to find this one for a bargain. I hope to receive it next Monday. And hope I can manage to assemble this huge truck. Thx again.
