Hmm, I guess I'll just wait. Or, I'll get my American visa here. My family will be given temporary resident visas, and apparently after the first year we can apply for permanent resident visas. As for the prices here, it's a nightmare! The Harry Potter sets and the Jan. Star Wars wave just showed up here. All the sets are triple the price or more! I was able to snag the elf from Minifig. Series 3 for 39 pesos yesterday, which is about the same as the price in the US. That's the first time I've seen LEGOs at the right price in Mexico Thanks for the help!

I'm moving to Canada soon! My dad got a job in Edmonton, Alberta, so soon I'll be living there. Question: is it possible to drive down to the US from Canada without an American visa? I'm excited to get to live there. Anyone from Edmonton here?
  3. Thanks for the help guys! Here's the LXF link: Link
  4. My Hogwarts Castle: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=50046 I'm not sure how to post a link to my lxf file; can anyone tell me?
  5. Ok, let's consider for a second the sets we've already gotten. From the 7 sets that LEGO has released up until now, the only repeated minifigs have been Harry in Hogwarts uniform, Harry in casual wear, Ron in Casual wear, Hermione in Hogwarts uniform, Hagrid, Lucius Malfoy, and Fenrir Greyback. Besides that, every minifig has been exclusive to the set they're in. The point is, I think it highly likely that we will see many brand new minifigs, and little repeats besides the trio. And frankly, who doesn't want that?? I think it's likely that a new "creature" mold will be made and be used in both the Forrest set and Battle of Hogwarts set, probably a centaur or a giant. Like Ravenclaw 2010 said, the Battle of Hogwarts will probably not be bigger than the Burrow, so we might get 7 figures at the most.
  6. Thanks! Hmm, I didn't know it had that function. I'll try that now and upload more pics of the interior. Edit: Here are the pics of the interior. The Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. I removed some pieces so that you can see all the details inside. Note: I'm not sure if this is the accurate location of the classroom in the castle. This is what it looks like completed. The Transfiguration classroom. Hallway and prefects bathroom. Second bathroom. Corridors.
  7. Thank you! Yes, I definitely plan to complete the castle. This is just the beginning

Hello guys. This is an MOC I've been working on for a while now on LDD. This is the East Wing of Hogwarts Castle. There are two bathrooms and two classrooms in there. Feel free to comment on anything that might need fixing, I'm open to any suggestions. Enjoy!
  9. I agree. Not only is that scene the most "exciting" one that they could do, but it could offer great minifigs and pieces as well. Ok, considering that the Battle of Hogwarts is about the size of the Burrow, we can suppose that it will include 6 minifigs (or more, considering how many characters are in this scene). I think it will most likely have the trio, so that only leaves room for 3 or 4 more minifigs. I think it's only logical that if they make a centaur mold for the Forbidden Forrest set, they use it again for this set. Maybe not two centaurs, but at least one. I guess it's really hard to say who will end up in this set. There literally hundreds of possibilities, if the scene in the movie is anything like the scene in the book.
  10. -Forbidden Forrest. This set could be tricky. There are countless scenes in HP that take place in the Forrest. Plus, it looks like it will be a small set, so we can probably only expect a couple of trees and 3 or 4 minifigs. -Knight Bus. I can already picture this in my head. Hopefully we'll get a street lamp and the Grim/Sirius Black -Battle of Hogwarts. This is the set I'm most excited for! Hopefully we'll get centaurs, maybe Firenze and Bane, a giant, and an acromantula. this scene in the book is complete chaos, and practically a roll call of all the main characters throughout the series. I'm hoping we don't see too many repeats to allow more new minifigs. I'm thinking we could get: Harry, Ron, Hermione (battle damaged) Lupin Tonks Neville Firenze Bane Voldy (different face) 2 Death Eaters That's 11 minifigs, same as the Hogwarts Castle (if I'm not mistaken).
  11. If I make two buildings from one site, is it allowed? For example, if I make Flourish and Blotts and Florean Fortescue's shops in Diagon Alley, does that count, or can it only be one building/shop?

Hi guys!! I'm a TFOL (18 years old since Nov 3rd) and have actually been roaming these boards since 2005! I've always loved coming here to get my LEGO fix I've loved LEGOs as far back as I can remember. My first LEGO set (that I can remember) was 6251 (Pirates minifig set). I'm ashamed to say that I wasn't a big MOCer up until a couple of weeks ago when LDD 4 came out. Since then, I've been working on a modular Hogwarts. Besides that, I'm a huge fan of 6th scale figures, my favorites being Hot Toys of course. I'm also a huge fan of Harry Potter. Another passion of mine is Hans Zimmer's music, and soundtrack music in general. Well, that's about it! I've still got a lot to learn I'm sure, but I'm excited to finally join the community here at EB!
