Ok. Great information everyone - that definitively answered my query. I had always assumed that a pin would click into the old 16t clutch gears, but you're right: they don't! I'm reassured that there was a reasonable justification for the change. Thanks also for the part list! That'll be very useful!

Apologies if this has been discussed before. It seems you can't use these parts together, as there's a slight difference in the diameters of the cylinders in the middle. Incompatibility like this is very annoying. Does anyone know the reason? Also, is there a table which describes which of the clutching pieces work together? Thanks :)

Hi there. I was attempting something similar recently (I'm working on a clock). I think these provide two other ways of getting a 45 degree twist between studs and an axle: * The robot body with the x orientation (30361b) * The 15 and 21 tooth expert builder gears (g15 and g21). Malcolm
