Hello antibandit! Nice to have you here. In which languages do you program? Visual Basic? Enpaz

Quite nice MOC! Strangely I don't remember this particular scene in the film, although I have seen the latter. Oh well, I probably shouldn't have had so much of that unidentified white... jesus, what am I saying? Anyway, I vividly remember it from the book at least and I would say you've captured the feel of the scene pretty well. I like the use of minifig hands for the birds' beaks. Isn't Lavender blonde, though? Enpaz
  3. I agree with you folks, this is SPARTA! amazing! Definitely not madness, though. I really like how you put the numbers onto the castle walls... and only the castle by itself would be superb. Have you thought about doing a non-advent-calendar version of it? Like a limited edition which is exclusive to us forum trolls who haven't touched a lego brick once in their lives... Your girlfriend will be happy, you sugar daddy MOC expert! Great work on this. Enpaz

Parov Stelar - Booty Swing. And takeSomeCrime's dancing skills are truly impossible insane awe-inspiring. Enpaz

This Slave I model looks terrific! Everything very well thought-out - from the SNOT bottom to the wings and the wing attachments! Perhaps the only thing that could be improved is the scratched-up look on the sides. I kind of miss it, although your attempts at it are quite nice. I know this is hard to realise, especially with your SNOT concept. I just wanted to leave some constructive feedback. Enpaz

I finally bought 8075 Neptune Carrier 50% off today. I like that. Enpaz
  7. I really like this! Good job on it, especially the smooth tomb is great. I have to agree with TheBrickster, it's awesome to have an ancient-egypt-oriented theme again. Nice photography also... the first image looks outstanding! Enpaz
  8. This is a very neat idea idea for a contest! And yes, the prizes are great also! When I've finished my Winter Village entry, I'll see to an entry for this contest! Cheers! Enpaz
  9. I like how your brain is working quite fast! I'm indeed from Austria. Aaand yeah, I think I know what you mean. Earlier Lego (90s) just had a certain classic flair to it, it's hard to describe... but the really fabulous MOCs couldn't have been made without all those new parts, so I also couldn't image Lego still producing sets like back then. Nice one! I didn't know that... Of course when you can, like, print money, you'll find yourself able to build expensive stadiums! Looking forward to 2022! Lol, how that even sounds... Cheers!
  11. Well, Lego has built up an immensely powerful brand name! Everyone knows Lego. They can sell their products at high prices because people know: when they read "LEGO", they get good stuff. It's just like with clothing labels: noone would buy a H&M jacket for 200 euros, but with a Diesel one, well... it's an entirely different story. Even if the design would be exactly the same. Enpaz
  12. Warm greetings back to you! Mein Übersetzungsprogramm ist so gut, dass ich in der deutschen Sprache nicht einmal Fehler mache. Your MOC is nice. Did I get it right that you rather like the "basic" elements and are not so fond of new and specialised molds? Anyway, keep it going! Enpaz
  13. Fair thing, bro! Crush them! Make them sufferrrr! Sorry for the off-topic, but I had to get rid of that...
  14. Enpaz replied to papa jedi's post in a topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't think so. The Star Wars magnet packs sell really well for the reason that they are actually minifig packs. If glue is added, they will sell worse in comparison to the non-glued magnet packs before them AND are more expensive to produce, since TLG probably don't get glue for free.............or do they? Enpaz
  15. /signed 7-99 would be perfect indeed! Maybe set the lower limit a bit .. lower on some sets, but 99 is really ideal. I am wondering, the "age range" had in fact once been something with "up to 99" (-99), hadn't it? Enpaz
  16. Enpaz replied to papa jedi's post in a topic in General LEGO Discussion
I seriously love this news. Great, great, great. In fact, I am bothered by asking about 10 BrickLink sellers whether the minifig they are selling comes from a magnet set or a real one! Those cherished magnet sets are flooding the market with cheaper quality China minifigs that sellers mostly aren't able to distinguish from the "real" thing. Also, I really like getting a large set and then being rewarded with owning a rare minifig that I would not have got otherwise, or only at a high cost. With that feature, large lego sets are not just small lego sets with more than usual parts. Exclusive minifigures add to the flair of the set a great deal, in my opinion. What's more, some magnet minifigs are not only cheaper quality, but have also got a different print! For example with the Mace Windu CW fig (I own both the magnet and non-magnet version) the facial expression on the non-magnet one looks much better! The head prints are in fact not the same, just as the torso prints are not. Enpaz
  17. My opinion about this is the following. Without the "age suggestion on the higher end" most mothers would look at a "7+" set and think "Hmm, it's nice, but he's already thirteen... should I really? No, he's growing out of that stuff... and this is intended for seven-year-olds!" and so on. Come to think of it, what do we AFOLs and TFOLs and all kinds of "advanced" lego fans think of the Duplo "4+" line? Formally we are actually included in the target age range (Well... not me sadly, but hopefully all of you! ) but we see it as kids' stuff, don't we? At least I do. But with the box saying "7-14" she will rather think: "This toy is suitable up to the age of 14! My boy will definitely have fun with it. And it's surely good for him... better than playing that silly computer games all the time!". We can't have it all ways. I'm satisfied already with the 16+ markings on some products! Enpaz
  18. Speaking of football clubs, I'd say FC Chelsea London! Is that even spelled correctly? C-H-E-L-S-E-A? The word is hard... With the football/soccer games "nationality against nationality" it's different though. There I root for the Spanish team, which fortunately won the last world cup, AND the European championship before! Sports on Enpaz
  19. Enpaz replied to Geki Brick's post in a topic in Community
Well at least most of you (from what I have read in this post so far) seem to be quite concerned by the action Geki Brick wrote about. If this majority were equally troubled by Toys R Us "actions", they would probably not buy from the company anymore, as it would be morally not sustainable to buy from an unethical company. And I strongly disassume (is that a proper word, disassume? ) that just one of the people mentioned above stricly doesn't buy from TRU. We're really going into theory here, aren't we? Enpaz
  20. If you are really into Lego Star Wars, then for god's sake don't quit the theme! At least that's what I would do. Plus, about no Star Wars set ever decreases in value, even if it's used. You honestly can't say that about many themes. You need not focus on one theme alone! You just have to set your priorities. It's about what sets you "have" to buy (to feed your addiction! ), what sets would be "quite nice to own" and to avoid buying something you'll later regret. Even if I'm just stating the obvious right there! Don't restrict yourself, but also don't make yourself buy CENSORED useless stuff you actually don't need. This is all I can say abo... wait! one more thing: do not buy Toy Story Lego! Enpaz
  21. Enpaz replied to Geki Brick's post in a topic in Community
Come on guys! As long as you play by the rules of the store, everything is fine! If the store did not establish a policy to prevent people from doing what Geki Brick suggested, then this is included in the rules of the store! It's your total right to do so. As a consumer, my job is to get the most out of the system! It's exactly what you do when you are waiting for a discount on a certain product to get it cheaper: if you bought it now, the company would get more money, but you DON'T, and that's the point. It's all about squeezing the fruit as long as what you do is perfectly legal. Jeez! Toys R Us taking advantage of every situation that offers (e.g. their ability to mark up the prices as high as possible or sending misleading e-mails) doesn't bother you at all, but if the ordinary man has got an opportunity to seize, it really concerns you if he does and it's "morally inacceptable" for you. It's not a noble service to the society to sell LEGO, they do it because there's profit in it. They want to profit as much as possible, while we try to get the most bang for our buck. Cheers!
  22. That would have to be the 10210 Imperial Flagship, and the 10212 Imperial Shuttle! You could say I am some kind of an Imperialist :) Seriously though, those sets are awesomeness combined with quadruple awesomeness! Yes awesomeness... no, not... no!! not madness! You persians are mean :( Enpaz

I think I would say 2007. Remember, apart from the goodies already mentioned, that's also the year when the Hoth Rebel Base 7666 came out! It's really hard to decide, though. 2008 was quite cool too and actually, I really like the year we have now! Come to think of it: UCS Imperial Shuttle, anyone? Nice topic! Enpaz EDIT: Oh jeez, I forgot to make a statement on 2011! Lovely. Just lovely. Death Watch!!! Maybe I should have voted 2011, who knows?

I love it too! The snot is wonderful and the concept amazing! Keep that up!
  25. I agree. This is the normal blue. What I'd do is: get yourself some medium blue pieces, and create the water effect by combining white, medium blue, and blue. You can always experiment a bit, but medium blue pieces are always handy to have at hand if you want to 'build' water (no pun intended! ). Happy MOCing!
