Wampa won

Is it possible to suspend the Lego Death Star 10143, for example hang it from the ceiling, via the hole in the top piece? I've googled and can't see any images of this having been done, so was wondering if it was possible or if anyone had done it. Obviously the wire would need to be secured further down inside, possibly near the bottom, then run up through and out of the top. Is it even possible to build it without the stand, or remove the stand afterwards, as I see from the instructions that it is built around the stand?
