  1. I wish this post turned out to be true. I really, really do.

I can't get over what you did with the teeth. It's perfect. I love it.
  3. I just wanted to say: to everyone that's come to our defense, thanks. Yeah, people do make mistakes, and we sure have made quite a lot of them in our time. But the flipside to that is that it's just our personal responsibility to own up to these mistakes. We don't make them willingly, and that's why we need people to point them out to us. Seriously, the sooner you let us know about this stuff, the better, because we're able to address it that much more quickly. That's why I honestly do appreciate what Aanchir's said here: we've made a mistake and he let us know directly, on our channel, so we can correct it as soon as possible. From what I remember, there's two big things that have come under contention with us recently: the BZPower video, and the soft reboot thing. The soft reboot conversation went something like this: Me: "A lot of people have been debating if it's a continuation or a reboot. Can you tell us a bit more about this?" Jordan Paxton: "Well...I don't want to exactly call it a reboot". Me: "Is it more like a 'soft reboot' with a connection to old story, like the new Star Trek movies?" Jordan Paxton: "The new Star Trek movies are a really good comparison to what we're trying to do, yes." Now, my words were probably misconstrued; from what I hear, the "Star Trek" comparison was heard by a lot of people who also talked to staff, and I think it was the go-to comparison for what 2015 was going to be like. So it is extremely probable that because I name-dropped "Star Trek", he agreed to that and thought what I meant by "connection to old story" it was referencing old stuff like the Toa Mata, Makuta and the Vahi. And of course, the time-travel answer he gave to us when we asked if the Toa were the same didn't help but to reinforce that. I want to be clear that we did not try to lead him into saying that it was a soft reboot (I thought it was and wanted a hard reboot up until this), it was only his answer that he didn't want to "exactly" call it a reboot that led us to ask that question. And when we brought it up later by asking about if the Toa were the same, he didn't deny that, he just gave us a sidestepping answer about the Vahi being "half a mask" that really sounded like it was hinting towards some time-travel connection (which, also coincidentally, is the part of the plot of the new Star Trek movies, which we took as father confirmation). When BZPower said that that wasn't correct later on, I pointed to them as the correct source and directed people over to their videos (we didn't get any of those interviews on video, so they're a much more reliable source for that). And also to be fair I had said that "soft reboot" was the exact words, but I was wrong in implying that it was LEGO's exact words, not mine that were agreed with. That was an honest mistake, and one that I should have been clear on before making that tweet. I've tried to rectify by posting clarification tweets and posts since then, but yeah. Honestly, while I'm more than happy to correct that information since others have claimed it was wrong, I don't exactly see what happened there as my fault persay; outside of the wrongly worded tweet, that was what was said to me and we just happened to miscommunicate in all of the wrong ways. I'm really sorry you've had to deal with this, and we take full responsibility for this. Honestly, if you can just give us a list of instances when you've had to correct people, we will definitely go on record and make clarification/apology videos/annotations/etc. so that it doesn't go any further. It's a first step towards getting to where we want to be. EDIT: I'm so sorry, VBBN; I've been writing this post for a while and did not see your post there. That's my bad. If you guys want to contact us on our PM or on our channel or anything with that list, we're still open to following through.
  4. You could very well be right; I want to be clear on what happened with that. We were told by Jordan Paxton that the Toa had lost their memories, and we asked if they were the same original Toa from the first generation from Bionicle. Our response was if we remembered some important mask in 2003 and 2004, and then he also asked if we remembered when time travel was used. He then commented that the Vahi did seem like half a mask. So that's not any type of official confirmation that it's the original Toa at all, but it is kind of open to speculation; when I asked about Makuta and Ekimu he readily said that it's a "new universe", so I don't know why he would talk about the Vahi and Time Travel then instead of just saying it's a new universe as well? I will also admit that the term "soft reboot" wasn't used until I defined what "soft reboot" was and compared it to what the Star Trek movies did (and that was only because Jordan said he didn't "exactly want to call it a reboot" when we talked to him beforehand). So it could honestly be that "Star Trek" was given to all of the employees as the go-to comparison for the franchise reboot and he just agreed to it because of the name drop, and it just so happens that both the new Bionicle and Star Trek have time travel elements to them, but Bionicle is not connected to the old canon the same way Star Trek was. That can still be a very real possibility. However, he did say by his own volition that he did not want to exactly call it a reboot, and there was also his carefully worded sidestepping "Time Travel" answer to our "Are these the original Toa from 2001-2010" question, so he also could have understood perfectly what I was trying to say. Personally, Ikind of think he was hinting at it (even though I was personally hoping for a hard reboot). But that's the answers we were given; everyone's welcome to draw their own conclusions from what we have. (I wish I could have elaborated more about this on Twitter, but Twitter isn't really built for elaborating more. If I've said anything that people want clarification on or think is misleading or something let me know; I was waaaaay too excited and might have worded things with an extra meaning that I didn't mean to give)
  5. The steampunk aesthetic has always appealed to me. The copper/gold-black scheme really works for it. It's large without being entirely too bulky (except for that claw).
  6. Honestly, the only ultrabuild I would probably buy is a Iron Man Hulkbuster ultrabuild. I think that'd warrant something of that caliber.

What gets me about the mansion is just how much attention to detail that's put together in it. Captain America's shield, the glass cube with his first arc reactor...it's the little things that make the design really stand out.
  8. I'm honestly a little disappointed that we're not getting New 52 Superman. I was really hoping for that minifigure ever since it was revealed he'd be wearing that costume in Lego Batman 3. I'm not quite sure why Superman is pre-New 52 but Wonder Woman has a newer design that's definitely New 52 inspired, if not the actual costume itself. (also, no Green Arrow goatee? :( )
  9. This is actually a really cool idea. I've seen a lot of fan games before, but I honestly would have never thought about doing one for TIs. A lot of people start out with hugely ambitious game projects, but this seems very do-able. Considering you have stuff done in it already, I'd love to try it out when it's done.
  10. Fire. Water. Ice. Jungle. Stone. Earth. Long ago, the island of Okoto lived in harmony...but all that changed when the Skull Spiders attacked. That's all I could think of while reading that.

This is hilarious and amazing. The art style is perfect. It's always cool to see stuff like this come out of the stupid stuff we say in a video! =P
  12. You are not wrong. How do we best fix that? Getting rid of the clutter is one thing, but how do we legitimately get good discussion going, and how do we attract people who bring good discussion?
  13. The guys over at TTV did an article with a compilation of the images in a Majhost gallery.
  14. Honestly, getting to meet other VIPs at this function would be the highlight for me. I'm really interested to see if there'll be any Lego employees there, and getting to talk to them about their jobs and how they got where they are would help me a lot. As a young college student, knowing how exactly to get a job in that kind of environment after college would help me a lot. I'm actually really interested in PR Management, and I'm assuming at least one of those professionals would be there...it'd help me a lot in choosing my career and what I want to do. I don't get a chance to be in a room with so many interesting people.
