42160 Audi RS Q e-tron
muffinbrick replied to keymaker's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI've done exactly this. It's relatively agile model and could be fun to play with, but lack of physical controller is real pain. I'm planning to buy some cheap BT controller and try it with brick controller2, hopefully it will solve this.

Eurobricker's share your trucks!!!!
muffinbrick replied to CrazyKreations's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingSome very nice trucks in all scales My experiencies in building trucks are bit low, but here are some: Still technicaly unfinished Tatra 148 S1 plus it's brother - cable excavator d032a - maybe I'll finish them some day to level I'll be satisfied with: And recently simple alternative MOC from Audi RS Q e-tron - Dakar truck

GAZ 66K
muffinbrick replied to Tatrovak's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWell, using buwizz or different tires is in "legal" category for me, because it don't directly influence, how is something build, it just add more power, or more authentic look. Cutting, or 3D printing, on the other hand can change directly building process - you can build, what would be impossible by original LEGO parts. In case of those planetary hubs it's bit of gray zone for me - you can use hubs without planetary reduction, which have needed shape, or you have planetary hubs, which have different shape of connection ports. It's pitty, that LEGO don't made those planetary hubs in shape of those from Audi q-tron. It would be problem solved.

GAZ 66K
muffinbrick replied to Tatrovak's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingCongrats to frontpage, your MOCs have always high level of autenthicity. I'm not fan of cutting, but in this case I somehow understand it.

[C-Model] 42039 Alt. Buggy 2.0
muffinbrick replied to offroadcreations's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIt looks like renaissance of 42039 set. Some interesting alt builds was added on rebrickable in last couple of weeks I like your simple trailing arms. It would be interesting to add there driving somehow.

Muffinbrick's Technic Corner
muffinbrick replied to muffinbrick's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI've made instructions for that last one hotrod. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-22886/muffinbrick/hotrod-alt-42077/ Now it's time to build "twin brother" from 42039 :) I wonder, how it'll look with different colour scheme, bigger v8 engine and overall different set of parts(more gears, some missing links and specific panels etc.)

Muffinbrick's Technic Corner
muffinbrick replied to muffinbrick's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAfter last year's mini dark ages with some small trips in different LEGO themes I've built something new from technic. Now it's alternative model from 42077 really car - hotrod. I've used both front and rear axles from A-model, as well as fake engine and seats with some small adjustments. It has obvious functions - independent suspension, rear wheels drive, fake engine, HOG steering and openable doors.

[MOC] Backhoe Loader- 42054 C model
muffinbrick replied to BrickbyBrickTechnic's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYour C-models going better and better. I'd wondered, how you have done backhoe with limited count of actuators, and you've done it great. You deserve special C-model tag for those rows of C-models ;)

42078 - Mack Anthem
muffinbrick replied to AndroTech's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWhat do you mean "smaller size"? It has 2500+ parts, 42054 was under 2000.
