LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Massive dub, and thanks :). One would assume Anakin's Starfighter will probably be a new variant of his Eta-2 from 2014, it's been a while since that one. Its been a while since our last AAT too, again, I believe 2014 or 15, so its neat we could see another. Hopefully it'll be a Seppie version as BigGuy4U states. Am I right in saying the Buzzard is the Knights of Ren's ship? If so that's awesome, if I buy that it'll look pog next to my TIE Silencer. Soulless One is even more intriguing, I don't even think we had one last decade, let alone recently. $80 for less than 500pcs is extortionate though, they can get in the bin with that one. The previously mentioned 2 mystery sets, well, are intriguing. Hopefully it'll be something more to do with ESB considering it's its 40yr anniversary, though we did have Cloud City not too long ago and a Battle of Hoth set already, as well as the AT-AT already announced, so that might be our lot. I'd really like to see an Exegol set almost solely for the fact we could get a Reborn Palpatine figure, but there's little room for possibility for that one. I think there's more of a genuinely possibility of a Mandalore set to release to coincide with the 501st set, they'd compliment each other well and certainly sell well.

Evening everyone, it's genuinely been 2 years since I logged in on here, its some miracle I actually remembered my username and password, though surprisingly I do recognise a lot of familiar names here. I'm a little out of the loop, and I don't hugely fancy reading (or having the time to read) 179 pages haha. From what I gather from a very brisk skim read of the last 10 pages, our Summer wave currently consists of the AT-AT and the 501st pack at the moment (confirmed), right?

As someone else suggested, this Sandspeeder variant of the T-47 could be something from Battlefront II. It wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of repainted variant for the Jakku maps they introduced. Could also be from the campaign. It doesn't seem like LEGO have any sets we know yet lined up for the release of BFII like they had for the last game (Battle Packs), so releasing a vehicle that's making its first appearance in that game would be a somewhat logical move to put something new out but also promote the game.

I actually really quite like that Sandspeeder set. It's a pretty good T-47 model, and it's refreshing to see it in a different colour than the usual white/grey we usually see in Airspeeders. The figures are nothing to shout about though, it would've been cool to have some named figures in there rather than some generic pilots, but since it's presumably an EU set and nothing out of the movies I imagine LEGO weren't able to put anyone named in that line-up.

Oooooh, a new Cloud City rumor. Hopefully it'll deliver, if y'all have seen me post on these boards before, you'll know the one set I want most is a new Cloud City set. The Supremacy Battle set sounds intriguing, but one would hope it'd have Snoke or some Praetorian Guards at least. The set having Rose, Finn and some executioner stormtroopers would be pretty disappointing, in my opinion.

Hmmm, I need to start checking back here more often :p So, the Luke minifig is... ok. I actually really like the torso print and face print, but my big gripe is the hair. It doesn't fit the figure at all. It's really just the front of the hairpiece really, it's way too tall - while Luke's hair does take that kind of shape, it's nowhere near as towering as that. It just makes the figure look strange. However, I'm sure there'll be a hairpiece out there that can rectify that. The new Mace is really everything I could've hoped for, it's fantastic. The prospect of a cheap Ahch-To set really excites me, since I kind of would've expected LEGO to slap a high price tag on a set that'd undoubtedly contain Jedi Training Rey and probably the most sought after figure of the TLJ line, Luke. Honestly I wouldn't be too disappointed if we didn't get Porgs in that set, but it would be nice to have 3 minifigs in that set, or something like some Porgs that'd equate to the standard 3 minifigs. Perhaps one of the Caretakers could make for an interesting figure. I feel like I've talked about another Mos Eisley recently here before, but this also excites me as someone who stupidly didn't buy the 2014 version. I'd love to see another version brought out.

Wow, haven't checked this boards in a few weeks now and come back to see talk and images of a possible new Cantina set... interesting. It could be from Solo, but I'd guess it's just a normal set from the Winter Wave. It would make sense though, we don't exactly know where the movie will finish up, we could have the movie finishing by Han and Chewie coming into the Cantina or something to tie up the movies, like Rogue One did to tie in with ANH. It's possible the set could be from Solo, but yeah, I think the more likely possibility here is of a regular Episode IV set. Seems strange they'd do another one though after only discontinuing the last one less than 2 years ago now.

Yeah, the Scarif Stormtrooper is apparently something you get with an in-store purchase, and you get the FO Walker polybag for a qualifying S@H order... That sucks, because that poly really doesn't interest me. Hopefully they'll make the Scarif trooper more widely available in the future, because, well, I don't live anywhere near a LEGO Store, so there's no way I'm getting that.

So, the prices for the regular System sets for TLJ in the UK are (prices are in bold, left some of my personal thoughts in regular font): - Resistance Transport Pod (75176): £39.99 ---> This is an absolute joke. These days you can find the Resistance Troop Transport on Amazon discounted for the same price, which has better minifigures and a compressed version of the Pod itself included with it. This is one I doubt will sell like hot cakes here, even with Rose in there. Definitely one I'll pick up on discount, if I find I even want it, it's a pretty bad set anyway. - First Order Heavy Scout Walker (75177): £49.99 ---> Definitely one of the better priced sets of the wave. 554 pieces for £49.99 is pretty good going. Though, not one I'll personally pick-up, too strange for me. - Kylo Ren's TIE FIghter (75179): £74.99 ---> Not the best in terms of price per piece, however I think it's just about acceptable enough, since the build is pretty substantial in itself, and it's a very cool set nevertheless, that'll probably sell pretty well. - BB-8 (75187): £84.99 ---> Really, that's an absolute bargain. £84.99 for 1106 parts is very good going. - Resistance Bomber (75188): £99.99 ---> Not the greatest price, 780 parts for £99.99 isn't great, but it's a pretty hefty build with two great minifigs in the form of Poe and Holdo, so it just clears it, I think. - First Order Heavy Assault Walker: £129.99 ---> The walker is a big, incredible build, and it does well in terms of price per part, just below 10p per piece, and with a great figure selection I think this is pretty fair. - First Order Star Destroyer: £129.99 ---> I could not be happier with this price. I was expecting something in the £140-£150 region, but this exceeds all expectations. Definitely a set I'm going to strongly consider picking up. Also, for those who haven't seen, the Falcon is £650 here in the UK, which, quite frankly, is an absolute bargain.

Wow, a lot of offers for Star Wars stuff on Force Friday II. I'm defnitely gonna buy something, but I might see what else they discount before deciding if I'll splash out on the TLJ sets or older ones. I'm looking forward to receiving some double VIP points, and it's great they're finally releasing that Shoretrooper... I'm curious as to how many figures will be in this little minifigure series. I'm also curious as to what the poster will look like... probably something TLJ themed, I assume. Also, the TIE doesn't look as great in my opinion, after seeing reviews of it, but it still looks like a pretty solid set. Figures are quite bland though, in my opinion. For anyone who bagged Kylo Ren from the TFA sets, they probably won't see this new variant as much of a big deal. Obviously we don't really know where this ship will appear in the movie, but it could've benefitted from having maybe Rey, Phasma or even Luke in there, even if it didn't necessarily fit with the set itself, it's not like they haven't done that before (Hux with Kylo's Shuttle, K2, Bodhi and Pao in Krennic's Shuttle...). The Destroyer looks great though, I'll definitely pick it up. Has a great interior, but the figure selection is a bit lacking. Like with Kylo's TIE, I think they should've thrown another big name in there to spice up the line-up a bit, though Snoke is definitely the big deal, probably out of all the figures in the Force Friday II wave.

I don't think the fighter is actually as big as it looks, I think it's just the long, Interceptor-esque wings that make it look big. Krennic's Shuttle is a similar case, without those huge, folding wings the actual core of the model is really quite small. Is it possible for you to post an image of said flyer? This sounds awesome!

Damn it, got ninja'd by Kaz by mere seconds haha. I'm not seeing anything different or something we haven't seen as of yet in regards to the last 3, but, that Luke looks GREAT! The face is really quite perfect and fits luke perfectly, and I'm liking the hairpiece too. I mean, I guess this is how Luke's face and hair will look on his official figure when we get it, right?
