  1. They are to geared up. Sorry I did not even notice.
  2. That is rediculously good! All of your models are amazing.
  3. Very good. Would b interesting to see how it went if you used cales geared up truck design.
  4. Thanks everyone for the comments. The front windows and the low hood are very distinctive features on this train so i spent a lot of time getting the windows right. I am happy with the look of the train I just wish I could sort out the last of the decals to finish it off. I will post up some pictures when I have all the decals done.
  5. That is awesome. So much detail and great building techniques. Would love to see it running :)

Hello i just thought i would share a MOC that i have been working on for some time now, It is of a Tasrail DQ class loco number 2012 that was painted to commemorate 75 years of continuous mill operation at the MMG Rosebery mine. I have started a MOC of another dq class loco in the old red and yellow livery with 2 power function m with both front and rear trucks powered unfortunately i can not fit the battery and ir receiver in the loco so it will have to go on a separate wagon, I will post up some pics once that is complete. Now i have to give alot of credit to Daniel aubin for his instructions for the GE C30-7 on railbricks as i used the 3 axle truck design and got alot of ideas from that train. Now i think my pics are to big to deeplink to the site so i will just link to my brickshelf folderhere Hereis a link to a photo of the real loco Let me know what you think and any ideas for improvement. Here is a few resized images.
  7. Here is a link to a moc i am working on at the moment i am trying to fit 2 m motors inside the 5 wide body. I reckon i will have to put the battery and receiver in a container car or something. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5290788
  8. This has been talked about in another topic but the trucks on the maersk engine create a fair bit of friction witch can be fixed by rebuilding the trucks using normal train wheels instead of the technic beams and axles. I have not got the maersk engine yet but did rebuild one of the trucks on my red passenger train with standard train wheels and it made a fair bit of difference to the rolling resistance. So perhaps if you try this the Rc train base might be able to be disguised as a freight car to push the maersk.

  10. I'm really looking forward to getting one of these stunning sets. Now all you Australians out there can you tell me where the best place to get one from is? And when are they scheduled for release over here? Will they be available at your local toy stores that stock Lego products? Thanks guys
  11. My emerald night arrived in the mail today! I bought it of eBay for 121 Australian dollars unbuilt in the packets just with no box. I can't wait to get home and build it! It sure looks like it's going to be a fun build.
