As I predicted at the start of the year, Helms Deep did indeed go down well... I now have 3 favourites that are joint first place 1 9474 The Battle of Helms Deep 2 10193 Medieval Market Village 3 6091 King Leo's Castle my second favourites 1 9472 Attack on Weathertop 2 9471 Uruk Hai Army 3 9469 Gandalf Arrives My Third favourites are all the LOTR sets I haven't mentioned That's as far as I go :)

I am so happy with today's purchase! LEGO The Lord of the Rings video game (WII) with exclusive Elrond minifigure!

Uruk Hai Army - at long last, nowhere in Edinburgh had it then out of the blue Toys R Us get it in! (reduced to £26.49 too so an excellent buy)

In the UK in GAME Stores if you buy the game, you get him free, even if you don't want him, you get him for free :)

I have finally tracked down an Uruk Hai Army set! Toys R Us got them back in stock and have put up a notice saying 2 per customer only... so I was right, the shortage of sets isn't a shortage at all, but it's down to the people who bought multiples! it's a big shame for those who didn't get one :/ I checked on the website and it's the same there, 2 per person! I did want to army build but I did that with the Uruk Hai polybags from the Sun because I didn't want to take away from someone else's collection because if I bought more than one, someone somewhere else misses out, which is a big shame (yes, you could argue that I took away from someone elses collection with multiple poly bags, but believe me, in Edinburgh they had so many and they were snapped up very very quickly which is why I'm glad I left the house at 7am!), and with the success of the Hobbit sets, more LOTR sets have been selling (in my area anyway, the sets I keep seeing on shelves are Shelob, Helms Deep and Mines of Moria, and it used to be loads of everything!) so it looks to be a bright future! I can't wait to buy the game in Game so I can get Elrond! then my LOTR collection really is complete! :D

oh wow! The Council of Elrond better have Elrond, I missed him thanks to the polybag promotion and the scalpers at my local Game store... The Wizard's battle is a MUST for me! Christopher Lee in minifigure form and he's a fleshie? That's enough for me! xD The black gate looks awesome and shows that the LEGO group are also looking at the extended editions! :D (It comes with the Mouth of Sauron, so someone will probably make a LEGO version of the Mouth of Sauron sings the Ding Dong Song video before long...) The Ship looks a bit meh, but no doubt I'll get it since I'm a completionist!

is it just me or is the Uruk Hai Army the hardest set to find in the Lord of the Rings wave now? I never got it for Christmas because my parents couldn't find it, and the only place I can find it lists it at full price, I have £70 so I'll probably go and snap it up before it's too late!

not strictly bought by me, more my parents but that doesn't matter :P 9474 The Battle of Helms Deep 9473 The Mines of Moria 9476 The Orc Forge 9470 Shelob Attacks bring my Lego LOTR collection nearer to completion (just need an Uruk Hai Army or two to complete the collection, then Hobbit is the next priority, however it's difficult because they were brought out now... by the time I could afford them, they'd be gone probably, but I'll probably pick up Riddles at some point!

well, I know where to go for some Les Mis torsos! That judge has the perfect torso for generic french soldiers! :D

My Dad brought me home Frodo's Cooking Corner (though somehow he got two) and also Hawkeye with Equipment, I have no idea how he managed that, maybe the store wanted rid of them?

I got lucky today, I managed to get 8 Uruk Hai! Toys R Us kept giving me extra ones because they weren't being sold, so instead of 4 which I intended to get (3 WHSmith's, 1 Toys R Us) I was given 4 more... no idea why because WHSmith quickly sold out. Also waiting to hear if my Gran in Inverness was successful in getting on, and also a friend in Sunderland. I hope so, but I'm not bothered if they don't! Now onto Christmas where I shall hopefully get Helms Deep for this army to storm! xD

he told me if I told anyone about the episode before next saturday, he'd send a firing squad around my house... better keep SCHTUM!

I'm sorry but being a big fan of the ship RMS Titanic, I fanboyed over this, it's the best representation I have ever seen of this ship! I am amazed that you put in all that time and effort for the result is beautiful! I've always fancied a go at building a titanic from both LEGO and Airfix so maybe one day I will! Amazing job!

OH.....MY.....GOD, I'm sorry but i just watched the preview! Eowyn looks fab but she needs a different face! I burst out laughing at the crying Uruk Hai, a nice touch, LEGO think of everything don't they? xD

i got Weathertop yesterday, for a starter set, it's magnificent! here's some of my own personal photos of the set.

I've just won this set in a Competition from the Sun, not really sure what to think of the set if I'm honest, but I'm happy to have won a competition for the first time ever! :D

I have just spent around 30 minutes studying this review and I have to say it's making me more and more interested in the set, but I'm also wanting to know another thing, could someone who has this set tell me, could this set be easily MOD'ed to create a Supermarine Spitfire? I'm a big fan of those planes, and it looks like the entire body section including the tail is the same kind of shape as the Spitfire, obviously if I did try this I would take the inner workings out of it. thanks in advance! i find it hard to identify a LSW set that could be the WORST ever, and i totally disagree about the Twin Pod Cloud Car - I remember getting that set from Hamleys in London and ever since then, it's been one of my favourite sets! (parts need replacing because when I was little i was liable to bite things, so some parts of this set got chewed up..) however, forgive me if you think I'm barking mad but i believe that the worst set (or sets) are: Jedi Defense 1 - 3 minifigures and not much playability for what it cost.... i remember getting it and I got bored playing with it after a while because all obi wan could do was destroy the two droids.... Gungan Patrol - I had this set and nothing could be done with it until I had loads of battle droids, plus the two gungans were more or less Identical Jabba's Palace (older release) - I didn't have this set but a friend did, and it was the ugliest thing I ever saw... just my opinions but I'll continue loving my Cloud Car, regardless of your opinions :')
