I'm not a castle fanatic like a lot of people on these forums, although I certainly appreciate the figures very much, so I felt a little bad for snagging two Beastmasters on my first go of it, rather than leaving it behind for some other fan. But I wanted the extra wolf, and the guilt has already dissipated so c'est la vie! LOL

Well, Merry Christmas to me! :D I was in my local grocery store in Central New York when what to my wondering eyes should appear - Series 27 was on the shelves! Picked up seven, and got 2 Wolfpack Beastmasters, 2 Pirate Quartermasters, the Steampunk Inventor, the Boogeyman, and the Cat Fanatic. The codes are current and came up easily in the search apps, I am happy to report.

Perhaps one day ... you never know!

Boring for those who were able to get their hands on that minifigure, perhaps. For the rest of us, getting it readily available for $5 USD versus the unpredictable secondary market might be more than enough incentive to pick one up.

I am rather surprised that Lego hasn't done a dedicated "Winter Holiday" series yet, although you could argue they came close with CMF series 23 where five to six of the 12 figures were all holiday-related. I would think with the popularity of the Winter Village theme, more characters to liven up MOCs would be well received. But what do I know? I still want a follow up to the Series 14 Halloween/Monsters series. :D

Spiderverse? Ehhhh, I can see myself skipping this one, in all likelihood, unless there's some really amazing parts and characters. Hopefully, they will pleasantly surprise me.

I love the animals in these sets, so happy to see a wolf and a new cat, mold too! And that Cockatoo ... chef's kiss. I agree with the person who stated that the hairdo on the Pirate quartermaster wasn't the greatest representation of "Pirate," but the hairstyle itself is useful. Some of the minifigures are rather "meh" and lean toward the generic side - jetpack racer and longboarder and even the astronomy kid leap to the forefront in my mind. But, I will collect a full set as I always do, and then cherry pick some extra figures for the amazing assortment of parts.

Conversely, one individual not hearing about some of the characters on my list doesn't mean there aren't a whole legion of fans out there who wouldn't be interested in these figures.

I agree with a DC Series 2 - they are some terrible gaps in the DC roster of minifigures. Zatanna, Dr. Fate, a comic accurate Vixen, Aqualad/Tempest for the Teen Titans fans, Saturn Girl to complete the Legion of Super Heroes original three members ... the list literally could go on and on. And unfortunately, with Lego criminally ignoring their DC license to focus almost exclusively on Batman and everything Gotham, a DC Series 2 seems like it would be our only hope to get some variety.

For Looney Tunes, perhaps, although an argument could be made there, too, but I could definitely see the potential in a second series of The Muppets. The rest of the Electric Mayhem band - Dr. Teeth, Floyd, Zoot, and Lips - could take up four of the slots on their own. Put Miss Piggy in her Pigs in Space outfit and add her two co-stars, the "handsome" Pig and the Professor; give us Scooter, Sam the Eagle, the newscaster whose name I forget, Sweetums; another Kermit, maybe in a tuxedo, with his nephew, Robin as his accessory; Crazy Harry; The Janitor ... and that's just off the top of my head and not including any of the more "modern" Muppets like Pepe the Prawn, Clyde, the bear or Walter from the movies. Would it sell as well as the first, though? I'd doubt it, but I would still love to see it and I would collect every one of them.

Not to mention that the Unikitty series wasn't in place of the regular CMF series that year, if memory serves. They're taking up a valuable CMF slot with a series that *seems* to have no actual "MFs" and I think that this is very disappointing and a wrong direction to head in, personally.

Time will tell if they are well rendered as Robert 8's designs!

Silver ones exist ... in the Lego Batman Movie CMF series (I think!), one of his villains, Zodiac Master had a silver crab (Cancer) as well as a silver fish (Pisces) to represent his "powers." Oh, you meant "in the wild" ... sorry! I didn't read the whole thread thoroughly before I jumped in. OOOPS!

Personally, I wouldn't call the Nutcracker and Sugar Plum Fairy as counterparts of one another. They are from the same story, yes, but it's not like they're the same archetype. That being said, I'd love to see some more counterparts, like a well-designed male fairy or a Warlock with green skin like the Witch as well as a Ms. Gold as long as they didn't make her a limited edition.
