Incredible, you should be extremely proud of that.

Very Very good MOC. Could see Lego manufacturing this one.

Totally agree with the corner parts. If they continue to make parts for a certain purpose, it takes away the point of the lego brick. Dont get me wrong, these could be used for a host of different things, but slowly these parts are taking away that creative edge.
  4. I did this too......then undid it. but i think it's cool that it works!
  5. Anyone else have a regular job where they struggle to buy one of each let alone double's !!?!?!
  6. Superb. Does it take long to improvise the rebuild?
  7. This has to come to market. I always looked for a replica/toy as a kid, and there was nothing. This is a must!
  8. I feel a bit of an idiot, but I can't find a picture of this back wall everyone's going on about.
  9. One of the coolest things I've ever seen, love it!

Hi Guys, I've already submitted a post before my introduction (bad form I know), so just officially saying hi. I'm having a phase at the moment, of trying to buy some of my old sets again off ebay but without paying through the nose. My current collection is pretty minimal mostly due to how much Lego costs nowadays and having a child that selfishly wants Lego for himself! I'll be starting my modular collection this Xmas though (If I'm a good boy), and then re-mortgaging to get the Ghostbusters Fire House in the new year. PS If anyone has any tips, please let me know; my Lego collection as a child grew to astronomical amounts. Mostly thanks to being an only child. However, when puberty hit and chasing women was suddenly of more interest to me, my mother thought it appropriate to pass my entire collection on to my cousin, some 7 years my junior. I found out recently that he actually still has possession of the mountains of tubs passed down over 20 years ago. He's a grown man now, enjoying what young men do nowadays, so I asked if I could have the Lego back for my son (ish), so that the legacy could be passed on again. This request has been ignored, side stepped, avoided, missed call and pretty much everything in between for the past few months. has anyone else been in a similar situation? What would you do to get your collection back? Thanks Lee.
  11. Hi Guys, my names Lee, I'm new to the site but a veteran to the world of Lego. I'm rediscovering the enjoyment of it all over again with my son, and as such I've found that the phrase, 'they don't make 'em like they used to' very apt as a result. He's 9 now, so he's had Lego for a good few years and in that time as we've bought various sets I've noticed personally that the clutch power isn't as good as it was in the 80's and 90's! I find some sets almost fall apart, where as my old Lego pieces needed a decent grip, nail and elbow grease to separate. Is anyone else of the same opinion?
