  1. Thank you for the info Paul Boratko!
  2. Hi all, Newbie question: is this porsche orange color the same from the Arctic truck 42038? Thanks
  3. I'm not sure if its the wheel size but the car seems a bit large IMO. I actually prefer your model as I don't like this narrow F1 cars... Check this top view: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2016/02/19/ferrari-sf16-h-first-pictures-revealed/ferrari-top/ Cheers
  4. Again with the newbies question... Is toys'R'us a big selling store (by the TLG criteria)? And more important, when you were informed tha you will be selling the set, what else have they told you?
  5. Sorry for the newbie question, what does selected stores mean?
  6. As we all agree, from all the 2016 (or older) 911 flavours, Lego has recreated the 2016 911GT3 RS. I haven't found for this specific model any official or factory livery or even if that model is used by Porsche official teams in any competition, does anybody found any official photo of this specific model with track "suit"? Also I think that Geneva Auto Show will reveal new models for 2017 and recently launched models. 2016 version of 911 GT3 RS was already shown last year, so I don't think new colors justify displaying it again, since they have the new Boxster and 911R wich are real novelty's. Well searched again in the internet and just found: http://www.autocar.c...tor-show-reveal Some changes from the 2016 version. No side air intakes, different front spoiler, rear wing has different supports, looks more like the 911R with a wing. Maybe the lego model was roughly finished as they cannot showcase this version before it's officially launched.
  7. http://www.porsche.c...rs/991-gt3-cup/ But this car is a modified version of the "street" GT3, it doesn't feature the side air intake between doors and rear wheels like both real GT3RS and Lego version.
  8. If it ain't RC'fied it can easily be! Apart from the tires this guy caught the shape quite well.
  9. I'm not very familiar with TLG marketing strategy, but considering the 42039 leaked preliminary images and final product, in my opinion there's a lot that can be still tweaked and modified before the final set is released. In my opinion the camouflage was just a very cunning strategy to divert attention from the fact that the model is far from final. Altought theres been a lot more dreaming than speculating i think there's a lot to be speculated.
  10. In the website they only refer 4 "standard" colors (white, gt silver, lava orange and ultraviolet). But they have a "personalization" program, where I'm pretty sure many things can be changed by costumer request. From their website "You can select your Exclusive options at your Porsche Centre or you can visit the Porsche Experience Centre where a Personalisation Consultant can demonstrate many of the different options, such as gear levers, trim and paint using a unique display of samples and personalised cars." Until TLG reveal the selling format we can only speculate it will ever be more than one "official" color for this set.
  11. According to the Porsche website the Martini livery is an optional in the 918 spyder. But they state that for legal reasons it's not available in some countries (I suspect middle east and others where alcohol beverages are forbitten).
  12. Actually thats a 911RSR not a race track version of GT3RS...And that livery is the factory one (Porsche Inteligent Performance) common also the LMP1 cars.
  13. The 1H Kart uses 3 curved pannels in purple out of the how many different type of panels used in the porsche preview model? The drag racer brought a lot more panels in a new color (blue). How many sets of the porsche will be issued? Won't they be enough to justify whatever new color they want?
  14. I'm not so sure if this could be so easy. It's no exactly like the front steering wheels. The rear wheels only slightly turn, and at low speeds in opposite direction of the front wheels and at high speeds in the same direction. It would be a very dificult exercise to replicate in legos, especially a feature that is speed dependent. But that's just my opinion!
  15. In the german Porsche Site, the GT3 RS is always dark orange, is this the most emblematic color for the 2016 GT3 RS? Also isn't the spoiler fixed? If so one less functionality if they keep it real... By the way a seven gear PDK gearbox is the only available option for this model.
